On a totally selfish note..I'm hoping we stay in the current league with a mixture of days or one set day that isn't Friday. Having said that..Thursday in top league would be okay as last resort.

So are swindon running next year? And at the abbey? For some reason I have it in my head that pearson said it was last meeting ever at abbey in the play off final??

Then all i can say to that is..shame on swindon for mugging off there fans by not using their best riders on the night.

I've watched speedway for 41 years..so I'm pretty used to being disappointed.

And there was me thinking it's just so Poole can get a rider on a bargain average that no one else can.

Are you saying the riders try harder cos of the away scoring system??? Surely they get paid for scoring..so I doubt the scoring system makes not the slightest difference. What a load to tosh

Agree completely..I was wrong all along...just need to think of it differently..so maybe all speedway needs to keep it going is to somehow reduce its costs to its participants. To be honest I don't know why I get so bothered about things..cos I hardly go anymore anyway.

Now that I do agree with...speedway will never be anything more than a tin pot sport..and will one day die in its current form as the oldies do. Is speedway actually growing in Poland??? Are they getting bigger crowds than say 10 years ago? If so how are they doing it?.

Obviously I'm not as old as some...but when speedway was in its heyday and drawing massive crowds and so on..does anybody know the tactical rules and scoring system??? Obviously something was working way better back then than it does now.. Yeah I think it's a joke..but I don't watch rugby, so don't really care about their rules...like someone said...different sports. I just don't think failure should be rewarded...but that's me...Maybe its me and the way I think that's the joke🤔🤔I don't watch football either so don't really know about their rules either.

Joke rules in speedway...should never be rewarded for failure. But I suppose whilst whilst fans think joke rules are okay then it's always gonna be a joke.

I would just like to see 3 for a win and 1 for a draw..plus bonus point for aggregate. Nice and simple. I can't ever understand getting rewarded for losing.

Does ratified mean fixed? Depending on who is asking of course.

I never try and justify any rules to any non speedway fan...the reason for this is no one ever asks. They don't care cos they follow their own sports they find interesting. if in your case you do find yourself explaining rules, then explaining your start line one they would find strange..cos I'm sure any one that doesn't follow speedway would say the same thing..which is why don't they sit stil until the tapes go up...no need to make something so simple so complicated.

It may lose a few and gain more it loses. And new supporters are better than some old dodge pot like me.

Not if it's a Friday, could only manage one possibly 2. Saturdays would see me at a few more, but not all.

Fridays are a no from me..but I am only one..and maybe more would attend on a Friday as kids don't have to go to school day after.

And that is the biggest problem speedway has..and the least being done about..apart from a few clubs

Don't they have an interval so all the oldies can go and empty their bag's and check on their knitting patterns. The ipswich presenter often visited the crowd and often done interviews with riders. Sadly though I think his time may have come to and end.

And I'm sure Hancock Sundstrom and every other rider not riding in this country say they will only ever ride for poole in Britain.

Surely every round of the cup should have a to be completed by date.

I've heard some of those riders won't ride for poole until they change the new logo gavan.

And he wasn't being bothered before they tried to ditch him...which is why they tried to ditch him.. They should have just got rid of him anyway and got any rider that would have fitted for him only and not a double swap with conner...who incidentally went on about his job brilliantly.
