We were there first year of going, excellent view can see them come from the gate and see who's out of line

I remember watching the fairies walk from the 3rd and 4th bend going up and down the rows across the stadium until they got to the second bend .... seem to take them forever but then they did keep stopping and chatting to people they bumped into, couldn't understand why they kept going up and down though rather than straight across As for my seats my lot are in M8 not a clue which row or seat but am in the stadium rather than on the roof See you all there 14 MORE SLEEPS WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO

When I was chatting to Uncle Ted the other day I mentioned about this thread to him and he said he remembers loads from the 70's / 80's but the one that came to mind straight away was when Danny Kennedy took him out in a race, when they got back to the pits Uncle Ted was sat on his tool box calming down Danny came back into the pits and just got on with his business this got right up Uncs. nose so he went over to him and said something to him Danny just looked at him as Uncle Ted walked back over to his bike he thought to himself "he never even apologised" so with that off came the steel shoe and that was it all hell let lose! Glad I didn't inherit his temper

sorry Lt never saw your posting, like Sandie says we've been at the Lodge for a few years now been in hotels close to the stadium they are good especially the Holiday Inn but paying that amount of money for a room and not being able to get a seat in the bar after the meeting as passing speedway fans come in and end up sitting in the foyer no thanks I'll stick to the Lodge we get a good crowd there each year and plenty of seats inside and out for everyone.
