  1. After a great league campaign last season, I think Fredrik Lindgren is going to mount a bigger challenge this year and having "Billy" in his pits now will also help with experience. He seems quicker this year already, having gone close to the Monmore track record twice, so I would have an E/W on him Think Crumpy will be the man to beat with Emil and Nicki his closest rivals this year. Apart from the odd one or two, this years line up is pretty strong with even riders like Tai and Hampel way down the list that can spring a few suprises in the odd round.
  2. 1. Jason CRUMP £50,000 2. Tomasz GOLLOB £50,000 3. Emil SAYFUTDINOV £50,000 4. Greg HANCOCK £45,000 5. Andreas JONSSON £45,000 6. Nicki PEDERSEN £45,000 7. Rune HOLTA £35,000 8. Kenneth BJERRE £35,000 9. Fredrik LINDGREN £35,000 10. Hans ANDERSEN £35,000 11. Magnus ZETTERSTROM £25,000 12. Chris HOLDER £35,000 13. Jaroslaw HAMPEL £25,000 14. Chris HARRIS £25,000 15. Tai WOFFINDEN £25,000 16. Wild Card £25,000 3. Emil SAYFUTDINOV £50,000 (CAPT) 6. Nicki PEDERSEN £45,000 9. Fredrik LINDGREN £35,000 10. Hans ANDERSEN £35,000 13. Jaroslaw HAMPEL £25,000 155
  3. Bomber at best 13th, Tai could be anywhere from 9th to 12th
  4. Just looked at te odds for the forthcoming season and while I cant see him being World Champion just yet .... Its weird how William Hill have Tai Woffinden down as 25/1 while Ladbrokes have him at 66/1 ! Amazing that in only his second year, Emil starts as slight favourite over Crump and Nicki but with 3 GP's in Poland this year, I think 16/1 (EW) for Tomasz Goillob at William Hills is pretty good odds. ODDS FOR 2010 SPEEDWAY
  5. Much rather watch Speedway GP's than the F1 GP's as the second team member is only there to help out, so a field of 22 becomes 11 of which at least 6 are no hopers. With 16 riders in a GP and one of those being a WC, teams of 2 would leave one rider on his own ! Then you would have to find 7 or 8 companies that would be willing to foot the bill for this !
  6. I would rather points are carried forward. Double points awarded in the Semi Finals and Finals, so if a rider finishes the 20 heats with 14 and then gets third in the Semi-Final, his 16 points maybe enough to get him through. Riders scrapping through on 8 points would struggle to get to the final unless they win the semi-final but a second place would at least give them 12 GP points. Maybe the top 8 could get a 3 point bonus for making the semi finals too so a rider going unbeaten could get 30 GP points.
  7. Although he is getting on, with 3 rounds in Poland next season, Gollob wont be far away again but my money is on Emil to win the title with Nicki 2nd and Crump 3rd. Maybe a better choice would be Bomber or Zorro ?
  8. Freddie, Hans and Tai were nailed on certainties for 2010 but the only choice they had to make was which other Brit got a place. For me Eddie Kennett is not and never will be a GP rider but then again you have to wonder how many chances Bomber is going to get to qualify on his own right. Why they have to have 2 Brits in is a joke really and while I wish Tai all the best for 2010, I dont think he will get in the top 8 and if both Brits fail to make it in the top 8 then they should look at reducing it to just one Brit in 2011.
  9. If I had the power to pick the 15 GP riders for 2010 they would be 1 ~ Jason Crump 2 ~ Tomasz Gollob 3 ~ Emil Sayfutdinov 4 ~ Greg Hancock 5 ~ Andreas Jonsson 6 ~ Nicki Pedersen 7 ~ Rune Holta 8 ~ Kenneth Bjerre 9 ~ Fredrik Lindgren 10 ~ Hans Andersen 11 ~ Leigh Adams 12 ~ Jaroslaw Hampel 13 ~ Chris Holder 14 ~ Matej Zagar 15 ~ Tai Woffinden 16 ~ Wild Card 17 ~ Grezgorz Zengota 18 ~ Darcy Ward 19 ~ Jurica Pavlic 20 ~ Martin Vaculik
  10. Lets face it, only 3-6 riders are actually capable of winning the title at the end of the season and the rest are battling for a top 8 spot and I'm sure Tai will be one of those giving it 110% and will score more next season that either Harris or Nicholls have this year. He missed the gate

That gives you the top 10 with 4 Poles, 3 Aussies, 1 Swede, I Dane and 1 American. Fredrik Lindgren only just missed out in Poland but is 13th in Sweden so that makes 2 Swedes. Grezgorz Walasek is 13th and 19th to take the 12th spot and add a 5th Pole. Rafal Dobrucki is 10th in Poland and 20th in Sweden to make it 6 Poles Chris Holder is 14th and 25th so he could make it 4 Aussies The last 2 should come by averages from possibly Kenneth Bjerre and Emil Sayfutdinov Of those 16 .... 10 will be in the 2010 Series
  12. Does make me wonder which rider will be left out if there is a contract agreement to have TWO British riders in the Series ? Lindgren ? Zagar ? or Andersen Then who would be the second Brit alongside Tai .... If there was 2 Brits ... Kennett ~ Harris ~ GT Rico ?
  13. Will Crump be riding in England next year ? What about Lindgren and Woffinden ? Seems weird that a few years a go us Wolves fans were pleased to see David Howe get in the Cardiff meeting as we didn't have GP riders. Next year of the few that will be riding in England ..... Wolves could have 2 orf the 3 or 4 There will be new sponsorship deals put in place and excisting ones improved if/when Tai is named in the GP's so finacially I can't see that being a problem. Is he ready for it ? ........ Are they ready for him !!
  14. TOP EIGHT Jason Crump Tomasz Gollob Emil Sayfutdinov Greg Hancock Andreas Jonsson Nicki Pedersen Rune Holta Kenneth Bjerre QUALIFIERS Magnus Zetterstrom Jarek Hampel Chris Holder WILD CARDS Fredrik Lindgren Hans Andersen Tai Woffinden Matej Zagar Antonio Lindback may be considered as could a second Brit in Lee Richardson or even Chris Harris but I think Tai Woffinden and Matej Zagar will get the two remaining places for 2010.
  15. Why cant England hold a GP as well as the British GP ? It could be held at Coventry easily or maybe this new venture at Leicester that is believed to be even bigger. They could even call it the Commonwealth GP to make sure its PC and should gain a good crowd. Would like to see Landshut or Pocking in Germany added as well as Vojens which would make it a 14 -15 meeting series.
  16. 17. Yes Tai made the mistake in his first ride as Hougaard on gate one moved, Tai went a touch further and into the tapes. As for the run-off .... its hard to beat one rider let alone two with a puncture !!!
  18. Well after that result I would love to see Darcy Ward and Tai Woffinden in the GP's next year with this years top 10 and the 3 qualifiers. Emil won his first at 17 and then won it again the next year but opted out this year .... Think Darcy and Tai will be the big two next year in this as well but Maciej Janowski will also be looking back at that one race that cost him today. 1. Michał Mitko - 1,0,1,1,F = 3 2. Nicolai Klindt - 3,1,3,2,1 = 10 3. Jurica Pavlic - 2,2,2,3,3 = 12+3 4. Ludvig Lindgren - 0,1,0,0,0 = 0 5. Patrick Hougaard - 3,2,2,2,3 = 12+2 6. Simon Gustafsson - 0,E,3,3,1 = 7 7. Tai Woffinden - T,3,3,3,3 = 12+1 8. Maciej Janowski - 2,3,X,3,3 = 11 9. Darcy Ward - 3,3,3,2,2 = 13 10. Grzegorz Zengota - F,3,2,1,2 = 8 11. Ricky Wells - 1,0,0,0,1 = 2 12. Lewis Bridger - 2,2,1,2,0 = 7 13. Kenni Larsen - 2,1,1,1,2 = 7 14. Thomas H. Jonasson - 3,2,1,F,N = 6 15. Artiom Laguta - 1,1,0,1,1 = 4 16. Wiaczesław Gieruckis - F,0,2,0,0 = 2 R1. Jozsef Tabaka - 1,2 = 3
  19. Whatever the price ..... he will fit in well at Wolves next year with Tai and Nicolai
  20. A Wolves 5-1 required .... Shame though as if that happens, The winner gets a chance of the title but second would fail to make the rostrum even !!! C'Mon the Wolves !!!
  21. Looks like Tai will be cursing that tapes exclusion .... still he can help Nicolai in heat 18 and force a run-off
  22. Darcy is running the show, but Heat 18 could swing it all around ..... Ward - Klindt - Woffinden ....
  23. Heat 18 could be interesting .... Klindt, Ward and Woffinden .....
  24. Report from trackside. Nicolai Klindt won heat 1 with a big lead over Pavlic while Tai was excluded for touching the tapes.
  25. Nicolai Klindt wins heat 1 against Pavlic ..... Get in there Nic Tai Woffinden excluded from heat 2 ~ tapes ~ Hougaard wins the race Grzegorz Zengota falls in heat 3, race won by Darcy Ward Heat 4 a win for Thomas H Johansson ahead of Kenni Larsen 3 = Nicolai Klindt, Patrick Hougaard, Darcy Ward, Thomas H Johansson 2 = Jurica Pavlic, Maciej Jankowski, Lewis Bridger, Kenni Larsen 1 = Michal Mitko, Jozsef Tabaka, Ricky Wells, Artem Laguta 0 = Ludvig Lindgren, Simon Gustafsson, Tai Woffinden, Grzegorz Zengota and Wiaczesław Gieruckis
