deks is on form!! ...hey do they only let you out at weekends mate?? -
my views are its time for a split.... Conference level is a great way for teams to be formed/re formed, and a great place to start on the speedway ladder for both Riders and teams. but i feel that the CL is being held back from being a true "third division" by the "second" teams. with that i have no gripe against second teams, some of which have produced some quality riders for there PL/EL subsideries. so to my proposal... split the CL into two...."Stand alone" clubs and "second teams" with the introduction of Weymouth, Norwich, and Possibly Leicester and Scunthorpe and maybe even Sittingbourne, along with Wimbledon, Buxton, Mildenhall, Boston and Carmathen would produce a league of 10 teams, which could fulfill there fixtures by riding each other twice home and away like in the EL, leaving Armadale, Swindon, Wolves, Sheffield, Rye House, Trelawny, Stoke, Oxford, and Newcastle to contest the Conference Trophy, and throw them all into the KOCup together. that would give space within the system, for the likes of Reading, Kings Lynn, etc who all have expressed a wish to enter the CL/CT next term, and the ability for the clubs to have a CL season, and also bring on youngsters. any thoughts then on a step up to a higher league would be easier for the "stand alone" clubs promotions to consider.

to be honest.......it all sounds too far fetched to be made up it must have a very close similarity to the truth. if The Informer is pulling our legs, then he/she has such a vivid wide imagination, that he/she should be a novel writer!! i believe you fully Informer, and i hope you stay with us to answer a few more of our "inside" questions. -
Will Sky Show Grand Prix next week.

ah but in true BSPA style..what will happen to those "damages"??? will the clubs that are scheduled to have meetings involving GP Riders next weekend get a pay out?? including Eastbourne...where "Darcy fake tan Bussell" happens to promote?? or will all the damages just go into the BSPA pot and disapear like the £5,000,000 Sky paid for the sponsorship of the elite league back three years ago?? -

Running before we can walk???
Sean replied to stevehone's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
wwooooooaaaahh!!! don't get me involved...this is World championship Grand Prix's luv!... anyway..i am way too busy this week with my own projects and i haven't got any holidays left at work because of early season rain offs and other meetings so i am afraid, i won't be able to take up your offer Ms Addy, and i don't think that Mr.Postlewaite and Mr.Olson would approve of my conditions...i mean could you see my kids running round Ullevi climbing on the tractors and "playing speedway" in the pits while i prepare the track?? Tricky and Crumpy would love that wouldn't they....."hey Mr Rickardsson, can i sit on your bike before this race please?" poor old lambchop was upset enough with the manner of a certain GP rider at Eastie on saturday, i couldn't let him loose in the GP pits..it would break his heart! -
its not just the intervals that i miss... its the characters like Paul Johnson, remember him?? the best flag and start marshall i have ever seen...he was one of a kind, wearing bright and eccentric clothing and jumping up and down waving the chequed flag like a madman!!! he graced many a "big" event, and has now just disappeard...

50!!!!! WOW!!! Happy Birthday Scott............ My memories were of The County Ground, Exeter 1976/7 when i was a wee pup in my short trousers and growing up down in the deepest darkest corners of Devon. Scott was a darling of the crowd down there, A true Gritty rider with a style that was so smooth, and speed that was breathtaking. One of the "new wave" of Californians joining our great sport. I had a sticker on my perspex board of the "bearded one". Not to mention we had pictures up at home of him(mum was a big big fan). A great man, that could be said..introduced me to speedway. If it wasn't for Scott, Mum wouldn't have gone anymore, and i would have become a Football fan! Thanks Scott.....27 years of supporting Exeter City would probably of finished me off!

Sean replied to krissie's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
lets say Tom Thumb wandered into one and hasn't been seen since!!! they are catching all the riders out, they look pretty deep, and the outside seems to be working well this late in the meeting. the airfence has saved Rickardsson for sure, he was hit by his bike against the fence quite badly but walked away ok. N.Pedersen hit it hard too, and again walked away -
