I give credit where it is due and any play off side that loses 61-35 do not deserve consideration. The Bears were poor entertainment at Newcastle. Well done Redcar on finishing the season well, but do me a favour it is Somerset or failing them Newcastle that will progress with Somerset still as favourites. I wonder which team Edinburgh will fancy in the final

Newcastle V Redcar Play Off Sunday 6th October 2013

I am becoming a fan of Wham Bam the Donut man, Chris Schramm. I usually watch him despite the leader as Schrammy is so unpredictable. Take a bow Wham Bam and treat us to a couple of donuts against the Rebels next sunday -
4 days have gone by and no-one has made a post on this, the most important thread on the Premier League part of the forum, a bit surprising, Is no-one interested in the outcome? Maybe the rebels already think they have beaten the best and have one hand on the trophy. Well think again the Diamonds will be trying hard to beat you at home and away. I sincerely hope the Diamonds entertain the Somerset crowd on Friday but we get something from the match to make our home play off match against the rebels on 13th October mean something. If we lose out to Somerset then good luck to the rebels against Edinburgh in the final

Newcastle V Redcar Play Off Sunday 6th October 2013

The Diamonds v Bears matches are always good entertainment so this one should be a crowd pleaser The Bears team is likely to be 1. Micky Dyer 2. Hugh Skidmore 3. Ulrich Ostergaard 4. Matej Kus R/R 5. Aaron Summers 6. Carl Wilkinson 7. Max Dilger Sorry about this post, the forum wouldn't let me move Mickey Dyer down to head the Redcar team. Not the first time I have had technical problems on this forum -
Somerset against Rye House showed the Rebels using 2 guests and rider replacement. So what will the Rebels team be against the diamonds. Newcastle will track:- 1. Richie Worrall 2. R/R for Stuart Robson 3. Andrew Tully 4. Ludvig Lindgren 5. Anton Rosen 6. Chris Schramm 7. Lewis Kerr It is difficult to forecast this one without knowing the Somerset line up, Newcastle have 7 riders capable of winning heats. So can a Rebels fan supply the likely line up for their team?

yeah Plymouth website shows the following line up is likely to be: - Mikkel Bech, Todd Kurtz, Rasmus Jensen, Michael Palm Toft, Mark Lemon. Simon Nielsen, Jake Anderson. Newcastle Richie Worrall R/R Stuart Robson Andrew Tully Ludvig Lindgren Anton Rosen Chris Schramm Lewis Kerr Ex Devil Chris Schramm has had a lot of experience of the track which he will pass on to the Newcastle riders. Anton has never seen the place before but he has talent and will likely get amongst the points. I hope the diamonds entertain the Plymouth fans and come up with another away win

Yeah, what is rumoured about the Elite and Premier leagues amalgamating means we are all in a guessing game, even more than normal at this time of year. I hope that the BSPA announce early if this is in their plans so teams can go about the business of making signings. This all happened before in the 1960s and joining the two leagues was a success then so why not now?

Newcastle need something from this match to keep the play off group alive. It will be a tough task for the diamonds at the home of the league leaders. Maybe we can take numerous 3-3's early on and hit the rebels with heat advantages in the later stages or maybe the Rebels will just romp to victory. Who knows what will happen. I wish I could make the long trip to watch this one but it is just too far for me.

This re-arranged league match missed the play off cut off date. So the match still has to be run, although the result does not matter. A long way to go for the Diamonds to simply fulfil their PL fixtures. Newcastle will be favourites to win this match. I hope all the riders avoid injuries as in Newcastle's case we still have a chance of making the play offs final.

The two crashes came about without a Newcastle rider being involved. Heat 3 Leigh locked up in the lead and Cameron hit him. Heeps was pretty close to Lanham so maybe he didn't have time to lay down safely. Ipswich were looking good in the heat. Lanham was excluded and we later heard he was away to a Newcastle hospital. Heat 5 Ben went wide on turn two leaving a gap for Ludvig and Andrew to come hurtling through on the inside, Ben was quite fast down the straight and was likely attempting an outside blast around the 2 diamonds, but he came to grief on his own at the 3rd bend. Ipswich (Ben Barker) was going well at the time of his accident. Barker joined his teammate Leigh at the Newcastle hospital. With Ipswich reduced to Cameron Heeps, Morten Risegar and Ritchie Hawkins the match ground out less than entertaining with the Diamonds winning the cup

And so against this ranting we are looking forward to the home match, maybe the bad mouthing fans will come to Newcastle to watch the match. No I thought not, they will say they have other things to do. Newcastle were well beaten by the Bears but soon the boot will be on the other foot. Don't get abusive just enjoy the occasion

The teams are likely to be as follows: - Newcastle 1. Richie Worrall - 2. Stuart Robson -R/R 3. Andrew Tully - 4. Ludvig Lindgren - 5. Anton Rosen - 6. Chris Schramm - 7. Lewis Kerr - Ipswich Witches 1. Ben Barker - 2. Cameron Heeps - 3. Rohan Tungate -R/R 4. Leigh Lanham - 5. Morten Risager - 6. Benji Compton (NL Guest) - 7. Ritchie Hawkins -

I take it Rohan Tungate is injured, will be missing tonight and Ipswich will use R/R for him. Presumably this makes the witches weaker as Mr. Tungate scored 8+1 (from 5) on his last visit to planet Brough! So both sides are weakened and using R/R. Maybe 12 points will be enough for Ipswich but the Diamonds will be highly motivated on their home track to overcome the deficit. A lot depends upon the riding of Andrew Tully and Ludvig Lindgren
