  1. LINDGREN LINDBACK ANDERSEN RICHARDSON Not that Potty Mouth Tai - not till next season. Same with Darcy Ward. He needs Elite lge experience at least in the UK. Get that under his belt, and the season after could be a real possibility to step up to GP level.
  2. I quite agree. She really isn't anything special to look at really. It's eye candy to some people. I wouldn't look twice at her on a night out......but a nice person all the same!!!
  3. Then some would argue that he races for Team GB. I wonder if it may be a bit different if it was an English rider working with, (say) Sweden or Denmark.
  4. Hang on, reading the rules? Why for example, as a spectator or just an armchair moaner like most people, would I go to the effort to say"gee I like the speedway Im watching...scrach my head, and see a GB rider on our screen, and think....hmmm thats "joe bloggs" who rides for GB, and he's.......wearing an opposing country's top, but imagine say, David Beckham, and he's seen out in LA with a Tottenham shirt.....what's your first reaction, if you know what you've seen briefly. It's not the same I know but a similar hypothesis!! Im not suggesting that is the case with Tai. I'm just trying to gauge people's thoughts thats all. Personally I don't have a problem with it. None whatsoever. I just chuckled at seeing Tai getting stuck in, helping out as a team. But some will have a whinge and a different view.....but so what, it's not that bigger deal. Look at Emil loaning a bike to Hans in the GP and that's the world championship......
  5. Hello mate.....would you give me permission to use your comment for a classic quote on another forum???? That has to be one of the funniest things I've seen posted about someone!!! It just so happened to be Sam!! An experienced and knowledgable person I'd add and someone who's passionate and enthusiastic to do his job the right way to the audience. He projects himself well and certainly DOES his homework on material for Sky. Who would you rather like? Rob Lyon.....oh please.....
  6. Eh?? Apologies mate if you thought I was critical of such use of material shown in the States, wasn't intended to come across that way - that was sarcasm!! I have a level 3 NVQ in humor of sense and in September I begin my national diploma in London. I'll keep you posted on my progress on my Twitter page mate!
  7. Crikey I may have to take back some of my comments about Charlie Webster! There's one thing I hate and that's annoying interviews at particular moments. Quite often riders are free to talk to you, some not so! Having Charlie to tippy toe around the paddock, getting in the faces of riders, who quite clearly do not want to be disturbed, are busy checking over something, and giving feedback to his mechanics....... It's not good tv and it's very cringe-worthy to watch either. Chris Louis looked completely lost at times when he did it last week. I dread to think though what messages are being relayed in their headsets, to posess them to take orders. You can see the annoyance at times, when riders have microphones shoved in their faces when THEY are CLEARLY flaming busy! Bed time.........
  8. I learnt my lesson quick when it came to recording live events. Happened to me with Darts in the past and speedway had stung me before. I now record the programme afterwards if it's not too long. Mind you, with the 100% you have on Sky+, you may not have enough memory to do that!!
  9. Nothing to be offended about, or simply chessed off that an Aussie races for GB, and wears a Team Australia shirt whilst helping them out in the pits for the WC Final?
  10. The mole is a blatent rip off of Fox sports coverage of Nascar, ie:Digger, which is a camera positioned on the curbing on the bends on the oval tracks.
  11. Kelvin took the words out of my mouth! All four riders back? No? Surely? Still no! Oh well.......
  12. and Leigh Adams confirmed Ryan not showing up at practice. Maybe the news of his exclusion didn't sit well with him. Not looking good for Ryan or Team Australia.
  13. Im speechless AGAIN with this sport. Are we in an actual state, where money is more of a factor than the bleeding racing itself? Honestly, this is a complete detrimate to this sport we just.......well.........want to watch! Leigh Adams at his home track in Poland, says once again......we have a slick track. Im sick and tired to sit down and watch gladiators of Speedway racing, not racing to it's real potential, by giving these world class riders a sub-standard track. It's rife at the top, and our league system is a mess. GIVE THESE RIDERS AND THE FANS A SPECTICLE TO WATCH not a Slick Track!! I'll get my coat!
  14. I've read some tosh in my time, but this quote takes the bleeding biscuit! Enjoy your sport........
  15. I've read some tosh in my time, but this quote takes the bleeding biscuit! Enjoy your sport........
  16. Could not agree Steve anymore. A huge inexperienced mistake from Rob Lyons. Rico out and Danny King in?? How embarassing to not select Lee Richardson on his form right NOW. Look at the stats between Rico and King. Hang your head in shame Rob Lyons..........your leadership is very misguided.
  17. Agree with some of the more intelligent posters on here who deal in facts, not, what they want to see! In a nutshell I believe Emil should get the bigger fine, just.........but the FIM MUST take action against Ashley Holloway for his ridiculous actions. Totally unacceptable and a complete cowardly act on his behalf. This matter had nothing to do with him, and if I was any respectable person involved in the Nicholls camp, I'd make an official complaint. An example needs to be set, as other mechanics could go down the line of getting involved on their riders behalf, and that would open a whole can of worms. Well done Jason Crump, and shame on the referee who showed no consistancy regarding the Nicki Pedersen exclusion. I wonder what Chris Harris made of that incident when he saw it???
  18. Just watched the GP on the Sky+ and echo the same comments regarding Nicki P. Fantastic rides all night. Deserved to win the Final, and I enjoyed the cheeky dig at Nigel Pearson and Kelvin Tatum in his post race interview with Steve Brandon (which the entire Marketa Stadium would have heard. Showed the pair of them, and Sky where to stick it, in regards to the bias shown towards Jason Crump recently. I hope now that Nicki goes on to win the series and become 3 time WC. By far the best rider out there again this year on a consistent basis.
  19. Quite the opposite. That my friend is how to generate some genuine heat amongst the two riders which could quite possibly attract more viewers on Sky. Drumming it up as much as possible is what gets bums on seats. Look no further than to a chap called Dave Simms who is the announcers and GM for the Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey team. He has spent the best part of 12 years riling up rival Nottingham Panthers fans into a frenzy, writing and commenting in outspoken ways which makes the blood boil, you name it, he's said it! My point is that with people like this in a sport, it's what make fans go to watch. Adding a little controversy never hurt anyone and speedway is no different. I'm sure newer fans to S/W will tune in tonight to see if anything happens involving Scott and Hans. It's Sky's job to drum up tention amonsgt the riders, it's what gets the audience watching over and over again!
  20. I paid £25 to watch 2 days of fantastic Stock Car action at Northampton last week featuring the Brisca F1 and F2 + Rebels Excellent value for a weekend ticket with plenty of action. If BSI want to price themselves out of attracting extra customers at there events, may I suggest a more appropriate pricing plan for future events such as this. To pay £25 to see (on paper) a competetive match involving the teams in the race off, only to watch IMO a two team meeting can be dis-heartening to some, if not many supporters. I believe with an appropriate fixed price for (a family sport) more customers would feel that they receive value for money. In this case I don't. I only live 20 minutes away and to think that BSI could have had a group of at least 8-9 of us to watch this event (twice) Race-off and Final, think of how much money you would have made from our custom? Lower the price to a more respectable sum and the place would have been packed. (£18 tops IMO at Reading) Out of interest, for those that were there, how many people were in attendence?
  21. Reading..... Do you have to purchase tickets for the Race Off and Final in advance or can you buy them on the night?
  22. Agreed there mate. Personally I think Midlo should stay and start to rebuild now for the future. We should be getting right behind him because I think he has the credentials to try and get the best out of the riders. At the end of the day, he has no control over the riders once on track or their equipment!
  23. Well said Rico, you guys have done us proud and battled on through to the end.
  24. Did anyone actually see the Poles tampering with Nicki, Scott and Tony's equipment prior to the meeting?!! Well done Poland.........buying the title from your federation's hand-outs on new equipment and enlisting a Norweigan.....whatever next? GB sign up Greg Hancock for 2006 World Cup!
