  1. Nor would I on a less than 6pt average. People keep going on about the heat leader list on here, has anyone actually seen it.I am assuming not.Is there actually going to be a list? With many riders it seems going to be about 6-7pt average wise how can they determine this anyway. In my thinking teams should just be able to build their teams up to the 40.5 limit and their top 3 are heat leaders, pretty simple I think
  2. This is what I am trying get at.You don't necessary need an out and out number one to be competitive.Especially as it seems a lot of them are staying away this year anyway.
  3. Isn't that what all good number ones should do. How can you say we are unlikely to be competitive when we haven't announced anyone yet?Lets be honest at the moment there has only been one real number 1 announced for a team and that is Doyle.Maybe 6 other teams wont be competitive then as well.
  4. No 'I' in team as in Niels,he was just part of a team.He was the top rider but just part of a team. He's not riding so get over it and support whoever Buster and Rob choose to put the Stars kevlars on.
  5. Hey,presuming you are on about Kerr and Rose.Incidentally they haven't signed for Newcastle yet and with only 3 spots left who knows.Plus not confirmed yet that Lambert has signed for Lynn so 0 out of 7 so far
  6. You think having to ride at reserve for 4 matches he would only get a reserve wage. This is speedway we are talking about here, lots of things go underhanded,he wouldn't get a reserves wage that's for sure.
  7. If this is the case couldn't Lynn for instance use Lamberts converted PL average of 5.02 put him at reserve,Kerr in the main 1-5 they swap after 4 matches when Lambert gets a new average. This would enable Lynn to have an extra 1.57 points for the 1-5 as Lamberts starting average would be 6.59 if starting in the 1-5. It's all fu*k*d up as usual.
  8. If by using the PL averages doesn't give Poole a better choice of tier 2 riders(which I find hard to believe). It does however let them have a slightly stronger top 5 than five other clubs who's tier 1 riders have a higher PL average than Newman.
  9. I maybe wrong but I thought he was living local to King's Lynn.I know he was born in Berkshire(Reading)
  10. Must be a conversion of his PL average then .Hopefully get Lambert back on his conversion of his PL average if they are doing it that way 5.02 bargain .You would think if they do it for one they would have to do it for the rest eg Cook,Lawson,Lambert,Kennett,Barker etc
  11. Don't forget Boyce and Gollob on the centre green,i will never forget that one, classic.
  12. Well I enjoyed that GP.Plenty of good racing and incidents. And the odd bit of controversy, especially with Masters.I may go against the grain here but I like a few incidents like the Masters one, shows a bit of passion and it certainly gets people talking. It didn't hurt in the 70s and 80s when teams had their villains and the crowds would turn up in their numbers then. Liked the commentary team of Tapp and Crump,at least we didn't have to turn the volume down on the tv.Really liked some of Tapp's phrases. Hope Doyle isn't to badly hurt, that was one big crash. Roll on 2016
  13. I don't get these comments about Lambert owes the club another season at least. If his average didn't suit Lynn would they want him back.Clubs use riders more than riders use clubs I'm afraid as it's an averages game at the end of the day.
  14. That's 1 more point than the other new superstar Kurtz(according to some) got last week at Edinburgh
  15. Ok as you have been trawling through the seasons matches, tell me how many double uppers were riding for their PL teams when Lynn were riding at home.I would say less than 2.You say when teams have come to Lynn missing riders the main problem was the D/U when it hasn't,just stating a fact. You got all defensive on that. And no I know everything isn't rosy in the garden far from it.Most fans know that.I can't believe you said that because I picked up on a something that wasn't correct
  16. Don't get that excuse really.95% of the time Lynn ride at home on a Wednesday and no PL club ride on a Wednesday. So double uppers should be available to ride EL on a Wednesday. Yes teams came to the AFA with rider/s missing at times, but I cant think of any that turned up without a d/upper because he was riding PL.Most occasions the riders missing were actually injured at the time.
  17. I would think Mondays and Wednesdays would suit better.Thursdays you have Sheffield,Ipswich and Redcar riding at home, plus the Swedish second division. Some of the riders currently riding over here ride in that league.
  18. Looks a decent team.Under the current format though that team would nearly be a point over the points limit.
  19. Not on official BSPA averages which is the most important.Averages without bonus points count towards team building.guest replacements etc.
  20. Didn't know whether to put it on here but I often attend these meetings at Lynn.Last weekend Dan Gilkes come off and went to hospital just wondered if anyone knew how he was.
  21. That's the reason I put Bjerre in my initial team.5.78 starting average for next surely can only go one way.If he starts the first month poorly get rid.Obviously you need to try and build your team with riders who will improve on their starting averages. He can also double down for your team aswell now
  22. I like the look of that team of triers as long as Barker and Garrity weren't partnered blimey accidents galore there. But ultimately I think you need a balance of good riders whether their boring or not and riders like Harris,Lambert and Garrity that will give their all for the cause. At the end of the day its a sport and its all about winning just ask Matt Ford that.Thats why Poole seem to get the better crowds. They have not necessarily had the most exciting teams but they win which is what 95% of supporters want for their teams.
