He did say he would like to be back.He actually said it would be a good team next season if all seven riders were back.He felt they would have done better this season if the seven they have now had started the season.I think many of us believe that would have been true. After he said it would be great to have all seven back,he then said even five would be a good start although we all know speedway is a numbers game.

Try this link, happy reading it does have plenty of supplements to cover many of the rules that promoters have tried to worm around to get things their own way in the past. http://www.scbgb.co.uk/regulations
-
No he wouldn't going by this year's regulations. But then again they have been broken several times this season so who knows.Sheffield still have Sedgemen riding so there may be a chance for Mountain next season.
-
Can you remember when him and Darcy Ward both done it to each other, that was funny.I think Darcy throttled off first and with Topinka close by,by time he throttled off he crept over the line in front of Darcy.

Use to happen occasionally BB,but they can't afford that now.Probably use to happen when many more people were coming through the gate and that would have been very rare.Wouldn’t have thought there were any brown envelopes tonight.Wasn't it Wolves that were rumoured to be struggling money wise before the season started. I actually knew a rider that would try to reduce his average, not by deliberately throwing points. But he would have been quite happy to get a max but he would have been quite happy with 8+4 as opposed to 12pts.If he had to win a race he would have done his best to do it.
-
Wolves were comprehensively beaten earlier in the season when they all needed points,we got 55 on that occasion. While people keep saying it was a dead rubber for Wolves, the same could be said about it being a dead rubber for Lynn too. This thing about average reduction doesn't go on too much now like it may have done in years gone by,promotors can't afford it.Plus riders don't think like that, they think of their pocket first.
-
Morris most definitely wasn't protecting himself. He was brilliant in his first 2 with some tough riding with several riders.Very hard but fair especially his duel with Klindt.
-
It was announced tonight.
-
They can.Sheffield leg 29th September,Lynn leg 3rd October.
-
They could certainly. But it won't matter a jot for who they get in the play offs as the position in the league after tonight will determine that.
-
If they can't run against the play offs then the match against Lynn must surely have to be on an off night. If not that only leaves 17th and 20th of October to get it completed.
-
I put this on the Lynn thread yesterday wondering why the first leg of the final against Lynn hasn't been pencilled in for next Thursday as they both don't have a meeting.Could be at Sheffield next Thursday and whenever at Lynn as they can have the track any day of the week bar stock car meetings providing all riders are available of course. At the end of the day though we shouldn't even be talking about squeezing in meetings at the end of the season when we have so few anyway.
-
Your doing them an injustice, they have to fit in 10 away meetings in those 52 days as well. Now i totally understand why they couldn't fit in all the fixtures.20 meetings in 52 days available is totally impossible
-
But they shouldn't have to move the cut off point.I think by the 22nd of September all teams have had adequate amount of time to get all league fixtures done.We have had one of the driest Summers in years and yet there is still league fixtures to fit in.Shambolic is the word that springs to mind.Too many weeks have gone by with no fixtures.especially during the Summer holidays. There is no excuse for this to happen.
-
It is shocking to get to this stage of the season and they can't complete the league meetings by the cut off date to determine the final league positions. An even worse case scenario would have been if the team in 5th had a chance of getting into 4th but didnt complete their meetings in time.Things need to change going forward, will they i am unsure on that.Too much self interest in our sport still.
-
Ipswich are at home next Thursday in their play-off match which leaves Sheffield free as far as my calculations go.Those two cannot face each other so surely there is one date that can be used.
-
Kinsley at reserve ffs.I would rather see them go with a lad who could have a chance to go a little further in the sport.Kinsley has had his chance and we can all see he has got to his limit. Why not give Thompson a go from Sheffield he isn't needed there Thursday or even Jenkins,Peterborough are not riding Thursday. It is said in the write up that they hopeful to confirm the dates for the final on Thursday, but it does say next month.
-
They could, but as Sheffield could finish top or indeed 2nd or 3rd the dates won't be known until Thursday, although their play off match at home is already sorted.
-
I wouldn't think we will get an announcement on the outstanding Belle Vue and Sheffield meetings until the league positions are decided. Then we will know what dates are available. The cut off is Thursday so we will know after this when Belle Vue and Sheffield will be available.I would think/hope they have some provisional dates sorted.
-
Give over,i would like to have seen the top 3 Brits in the final.Just because they don't ride here shouldn't mean they can't ride in the British final. You have your top riders in the final if you can.

British Final 2022
tellboy replied to Hackett's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I haven't seen anything about requesting sporting events not to go ahead, only that they may want to alter their timings Taken from the BBC website: However, government guidance says if sporting fixture or events are planned for the day of the funeral, organisations may want to adjust the timings.
