Panthers v Witches 5th September
tellboy replied to Badge's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As I have said,I don't like the idea of a super heat to decide points. For instance in this case Ipswich gain the 3 points the same as a team that have actually deserved 3 points and gone to Peterborough and won. Does anyone really think a team who draws 45-45 should get the same amount of league points as a team that has won away 42-48.If some say yes I think they are telling porkies. -

I like change if i think it is for the better. They changed the points awarded to teams when gaining a draw or losing by 6 or less,or winning away gaining more points if you win by more than 6.I think the points system is probably one of the best things they have introduced for years, then they spoil it this year with the draw superheat imo. -

God they are wetting themselves over this superheat.Imo it doesn't do anything more for the sport at all. -

He took Nicholls on the outside, maybe he just wasn't as quick as Pickering in that one. -

He is good around Peterborough. If he gets out of the starts he is quite hard to beat.He has always had fast engines in the past and a big track suits his style. -

Jakobsen? His average is below both when they have their 5% enhancement added on for a home meeting. -
In both leagues?

That is the problem now with all social media.I wouldn't think this is the only site where things like this happen.Best thing is to quit all sites of this kind. Many high profile sports stars etc get all kinds of rubbish put on various sites.Best thing is to not take any notice, which undoubtedly is hard or just quit these sites all together.I don't do facebook, twiitter etc so this is the only site i get some speedway information, banter etc.

We were saying Thursday that we think this could be his last season. It has all got to end at some point and he has plenty of TV work to concentrate on.
-
The bargain average for me would be Nicholls going by his performance on Thursday.Him on a 4.24 average starting at reserve next season looks good,as i said though going by Thursday night.

The top one Bagpuss. The next two are a typical speedway fans conspiracy theories of what happens in speedway.

Carrington according to the programme. Two shocking decisions from an experienced referee if indeed it was him.The one with Harris missing the 2 minutes by a distance dumbfounded everyone. He didn't even enter the track until about 20 seconds after the 2 minutes had elapsed. At that point I had to check the programme to make sure it wasn't Turnbull,or that other one whose name I can't remember.
-
You would think they would try and keep them apart as much as possible.Peterborough could possibly have had their two best riders in about 12 of the races.
-
Thought every team had to have a rising star regardless of averages. If a non rising star was a guest in this instance does that then make the protected heat 8 to become a non protected race.So for tomorrow nights meeting between Lynn and Peterborough,Lynn could use K.Andersen if they so pleased for Thomas.

Wroclaw GP Saturday August 27th
tellboy replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well done the Brits.Hopefully a good future for our two young ones. Some really good racing tonight and a great result for our boys. Just to put a dampener on things,Vojens next -
As ScottCampos said the track wasn't slick it was most definitely grippy apart from probably midway to the fence. That's why if you kept your bike under control from inside to nearly midway you were on the fastest line. Some of the bikes coming off the 2nd bend were really getting the grip.I think the grip in the track reflected in some of the times getting near the track record.
-
I think i have these correct,although the tannoy isn't very clear coming off bend two. 58.5, 58.4, 58.2, 58.0, 57.9, 57.8, 57.6, 57.6, 58.6, 58.6, 58.7, 59.1, 58.6, 58.5, 58.7

Where are all these Lynn fans that said how good it was, certainly not on here.
-
Pretty much a gating match tonight, although there was some good races involving Basso,Harris and Lawson. The track rode very well although a rut did appear on bend 2.Several times were quite close to the track record. Nice to actually record an away win and the 4pts we got should make sure we don't finish bottom this season.Make the next step up next season and we may manage 4th and the play offs.

I always try to find a live webcam close by.Been no rain since about 1pm 3 miles north of the EOES.There are some puddles but much has dried up quite well.As long as there is no further rain in the area i would expect it to be on.

I see Toft pulled out last night, but Peterborough tweeted their line up this morning.Maybe that was before Toft got up this morning not feeling up for it.I thought Basso came through ok from Denmark last night scoring 8pts.Although he did get a zero in his last race.
