  5. G/Day Colin Do you remember the WASP?....... He was a BIG Old Boy! Regards.
  6. G/Day LT I've been with Arthur when he didn't have a crate in the car. .... (they never lasted too long with him and John Priest..... All the Best JP&LP) (;O))..... That didn't stop him, he just took the home teams, after meeting beer, before the last race, putting it into our change room.. he said, we might have lost the points, but they have lost their BEER! (;O)..... too old to remember the track, I think we were on a Northern tour?....... I know we missed the first meeting, the big fella had a piece of glass in his eye, the eye was the size of a tennis ball...... Regards. PS. All was ok in the end, by 8.30pm we was in the pub next door to the hospital.
  7. How's the Backtrack Magazine story coming on?............. Regards.
  8. After having the privilidge of seeing a lot of world champions operate on and off the track and from what I saw on Saturday and Sunday, Crumpy as an ambassador to the sport is as good as any of them. After the sad start to his week and once again the calamity of errors at the Gold Coast Speedway, it didn't hold him back from putting a show on for Dave Booth and the public even following the presentation after the meeting he was still signing autographs and having photo's taken with the crowd that hung back. I can understand how urgently he wanted to get away from the speedway and deal with the family bereavement, but he didn't cut his fans short or leave them disappointed. He is a worthy world champion and a gentleman. Regards.
  9. I'd like to know who I should shoot, for the one off change to the elephants head Regards. PS. or was it a Swan
  10. "The Bryn".... not to be confused with "The Stig" was on board last year But too much Bundy had flowed to work out which end of the rod to put the hook. ........ hikup! ..... Hence Captain Bryn had us on a sandbank, he said he was looking for a topless Damsel in distress. Regards. PS. Your a fisherman Crusty! ..... get ya butt up here I've got two weeks off, lookout bull sharks. ....... Will a 303 do? (;O)
  11. Calling BRYN (;O) When you hit the sandbank, you was talking to?............. "48 year old veteran Mitch Shirra finished in 4th in the Nsw Long Track Championship, after being prominent in most heats he competed in during the day".......... Re: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=30269 Come on Bryn. He's got his Track going for the Jr's now, you know? Regards. PS. Get him back on the Bundy Bryn!..... I don't know how much could be printed. But It would be a good story!...... Geeeeeez You could do a book!
  12. G/Day Bee52 http://www.goldcoastspeedway.com.au/ http://www.mqld.org.au/index.htm Regards.
  13. G/Day Puma23 How are we going?......... Regards.
  14. G/Day Ross.........Go Big Billy One of my Liverpool favourites......with his charges around the boads . As he is an Aussie and he did ride in the UK .......... I put his name up. Regards.
  15. Fair go CHK Booey put the Bee in Coventry, all who follow him have big shoes to fill....most have (;O)))) He as always is a great ambassador for speedway......... I have lost count of how many riders Booey has helped out over the years..... As I said in AUS he was a big on track star for 20+ years in the 60's/70's/80's. When Booey and his troop came to town, it was packed and the gates locked a 1/2hr before the start. Regards. PS. I was lucky enough to have Ken as my team manager..... that was fun.
  16. G/Day AndyM You're 100% right there mate, he was also the same with his team mates. He was not only one of the best "team men" in the Uk he also performed to capacity crowds here in Australia induring his captaincy of the England V Australia tests and later on his World All Stars tours downunder. He was not only a house hold name in the UK/European speedway world, he was also as big as Ben Hur in Australia. In my book he's an unsung hero of team riding. I've only really come across one other person with that sort of pleasant attitude/personality towards the sport, which is Wiggy. They are two of the few (in top flight) that are true gentleme in my book. Regards.
  17. Thats 4 this month! Regards. PS. and it's not even an OSM thread
  18. "the 50 rider Australian invasion"............ only if we could do that today Regards.
  19. Fankz frigbo ............best we put Alan Jones & Keith Pilcher on the list Regards.
