Agreed, but you would expect a reasonable crowd for that first meeting as i say just out of curiosity, looks very good decent shape, ok it did look a little slick but hey ho you have racing. Yes its going to take a while for the track to settle down and it be turned over a few times, then you can evaluate it. But what you do need is a settled period of weather.

Couldn't agree more, looks very good. Notice the the chap comentating said it was the best race of the night. Again, all looks good to go, but sadly you will never change this crappy british weather.. I know it was only a colts meeting but i would have thought there would have been a bigger crowd, just out of curiosity..

Personally Steve i expected him to score so well. Riding on the sharp track will prepare him for Monday. Just hope he comes out the meeting ok.

No, this track is the one that was laid in the Winter of 95- 96, and opened by the mayor of poole in 96. First meeting was V Exeter .

But its the fans who can still make there feelings known to the promotion. Thats why i say a club share would benifit them. I know, and every Coventry fan will know, its not ideal, but they would still have speedway. Then perhaps maybe, just maybe if the promotion are really interested in saving the club they have time to do something. But to me, in the short term a club share has to be favorite.

Sorry to say it, but that is a total defeatist attitude, If thats how you and many other Coventry fans feel then you will go to the wall. Again you all need to make your feelings known to your promotion. Even a club share is better than no speedway at all, and no matter who that is with, you'l still have speedway.

Very true. Tracks need to be bladed first before every meeting, then you can do what you like with them, provided you have sufficient dirt on the track..

There's been a 100 threads on this. Riders will not come back to this country because A, the travelling involved, and B why should they come here and earn a pittance compared with what they get in Sweden Poland and in some cases the GP's. It won't happen mate not now or never, it doesn't matter what this country does..

Nothing to do with bike set ups mate, its the way the bikes are nowadays,. The make up will not take dirt. Thats why Antonio's track record will never be broken. Nothing to do with the actual track, its the bikes.

Its not a case of the riders can't handle it, the bikes are not set up for it nowadays.

Best pairs is basically a meaningless meeting, but does carry very good prize money, thats why they ride in it..
