  1. Spot on young Sir.. R'up several times K O cup winners pairs winners Craven Shield winners, to many times to mention, and that mini league in 03
  2. You said it all mate, its a seaside town which attracts all age groups, and Matt does his job. Even in the off Holiday seasons our crowds are bigger than the rest in the premiership. Anywhere nowadays is not easy to promote speedway, we have 2 premier league football clubs 5 mile and 30 mile up the road but our crowds still stand up, because its a speedway town, and yes there is plenty to do in the surounding area. BV have a simular problem with the football, but there crowds are dire apart from if they get a WC British final or play off up there, but then that should be the case anywhere, and there's bugger all else to do up there, if your not a football fan or a speedway fan. I hear studying brick walls is a favorite passtime. No good having a great track if they cant pull in the punters. And before i get bombarded by BV fans one of your fans actually said as much.. So there it is..
  3. Pinney. You are forgetting, Matt would have lost a fortune on the rain off's at the start of the season and, the 70th Aniversary meeting postponment, and not be able to be re-staged . Money he will not get back. Then you had the knock on effect of crowds lower than the average, after that with people worried about the weather. Will it wont it. Its not all beer and Skittles mate.
  4. Matt runs his club how he see's fit . Yup all 7 league titles start counting...
  5. Im not sure why we are talking about this. We still have 2018 play off's to go yet, and nothing is done till its done.
  6. As i said, and i wont say it again, our boys will not miss a trick this time.
  7. Rest assured, our boys and Neil will not leave a stone unturned on the track walk this time..
  8. Thing is you cannot run a top league with 7 clubs, unless somebody wants to come up, and after the Rye debacal i doubt any will want to take the chance, so one league is a destinct posibillity. Unless you split them at the midlands somewhere and have a North and South leagues. Play off in the south play off in the North and a grand final. It doesnt take an Einstien mate to work out the Zmarslik will be World champ sooner rather than later, although i do think Tai and maybe Doyley has at least another one in them. I think there will be a big shake up in the GP's end of this campaign, with several known riders not getting a wild card. Now you ask, well where will they ride , Sweden, Poland ? Then they may want a 3 rd night, over here, and clubs will be governed by the idiots at the top here and the fact that the majority of clubs are not in a position to take them on, so the one league two league idea is sound for the good of British speedway, but the riders who now presently ride here and are in the GP's will no longer be here. Great if Chris and two or three of them want to ride there, but they will have to slash there demands for clubs to be able to afford them. That really is the bottom line. Then you have travellng expence for fans, petrol has gone up 10p a litre in this part of the world alone in the last month and half, so a North South split would sound quite appealling to fans. The days of your Northern tours have gone, it will not be affordable to the majority.
  9. Troll am i wrong pal, wrong am i wrong again.. you livew in a dream world sunshine Night night.....
  10. I take it your talking about Dudek ? He would come in on an 8, but Matt wanted him a couple of years ago, but he didnt want to ride here due to his other comitments. But as every other promoter will tell you, it doesnt just finish there..
  11. I say things as they are Phil, i dont dress it up.
  12. In a way, yes, but as i said, its no good your promotion charging say for example £25 to sit down, people will say sod it, you have to add an incentive. There were some good races on monday night, one i was trying to see which rider/s went where. thats how it should be, but as i said. They have to realise its on BT sport.
  13. See no reason why not But you will have to make your home count. I didnt say advantage because you havnt got any. You did well to hold Somerset off, they are a fiesty lot who never give up and can gate.
  14. I think KL are beatable, they have hit a bit of form, but will the bubble burst ? Only problem is, BV have to cover Dan.
  15. Speedway attendances across the board are down you definately cannot compare the 70's crowds to now, people have far more to do nowadays, thats why promotions need to dangle a carrot, including yours..
  16. Because you know im right... As i said, its down to your promotion.
  17. Think you need glasses mate.. Now which was it 1500 1700 i would definately say slight exageration on both counts no more than 600 tops. And er, we rode on an off night and we were hit by the school return, but there was still plenty of kids there and a crowd 3x plus bigger than yours. As i said, you promotion has the opportunity to do something about it in the play off's. Ive been around to long to have the wool pulled over my eyes mate..
  18. And i looked at your south stand when the cameras showed it.. Come on Phil, there was knowhere near 1500 there on monday, 600 tops that will not wash mate..
  19. Nope our crowds were down a bit even our bad crowds are 3x plus better than that including our TV meeting a few weeks ago, , but knowhere near as bad as yours. Come on phil, you know as well as i do, appart from the opening gambits and the world cup your crowds have never been any great shakes, even with that track, and last mondays was appauling, that wouldnt even pay the riders money. You also know as well as i do its down to your promotion to do something about it, and they have the perfect opportunity to do it in the play off's.
