  1. We have ambition, does your lot ? All above board sunshine..
  2. So if Swindon were in the same position, you would be happy to see them finish bottom then ?
  3. Why you moaning DC, its all above board and they all come in on the correct averages or below.. If you are a little concered that we might just steel you thunder have a word with Rosco, perhaps he can chuck a couple of your riders out just to appease you...
  4. Another case of jealousy Steve. It wont matter who drops down to reserve they will both be good.. Perhaps wiggins will look at our team and he will see what we mean..
  5. The idea mate is to entice kids to speedway and to be future fans and posibly riders, , not add another app on there phone which we never had in the 70's 80's 90's . Far to much of that nowadays..
  6. Yeh but at least the interest is there. If only the majority of posters on our thread showed the same level of interest in there own club..
  7. Ah hum yup, she's certainly doing that, we are just waiting for her to do a sound check..
  8. Really, something tells me you are being a little cynical. 600,000 views and contrabutions tells me more fans are interested in what we do that any other club. funny that..
  9. Should be rolled out across the country imo. Kids will get the chance to sample speedway if they dont already go. Adults will pay to get in Kids will want something to eat and maybe a sovenier from the track shop. meet the riders before the bikes are started One would have thought its a win win situation. Something that happens at Poole every week, the pits are open til 7 pm, riders are very happy to sign Autographs and have photos taken before and after the meeting. We also have a post meeting confrence in the back straight bar where again kids can meet the riders and have photo's and get Autographs signed and is very well attended.
  10. Its not over till its over mate..
  11. Will i, perhaps you want to take a bit of a look at yourself then...Never seen you put a decent post up to be honest. With comments like that you'l be the first to drive the last nail in its coffin..
  12. Maybe, but we are in it to win it, and everybody knows Matt. Funny how our thread, Poole has 400,000 more viewings than any other thread, so we must be doing something right..
  13. Nobody said anything about sacking him in the same week, did they ?
  14. After reading yr first sentance and a half i though, er we go. But you redeamed yourself in the second part. Sensible man..
  15. Its just what we would expect from you lot, still waiting from Brum DC2 and uncle Tom cobbly to chip in as well..
  16. Still couldnt get Scott in mate..
  17. What do you want Steve, blood ? Chris will do a job for us, he still has plenty to offer. I agree with Matt this will all being well give us a good push for the play offs. It all comes down to averages. I to feel a little sorry for Linus, he showed flashes of what he can do, but in that position if you are professional enough you always want more.It proves that Matt will not rest untill that Trophy is back home...
  18. Sadly Speedway is not looked on as the same as Prem football, that is a multi million pound sport, our national sport, when you see packed stands at prem matches people for whatever reason look at it differently, the only time our stadiums get pack is for the play off's and final, otherwise its not appealling to the casual veiwer, could sky have done things diferently ? Can BT do any better ? Im not so sure, could the BSPA have helped, ? Fot whaatever reason speedway has changed a hell of a lot down the years, and personally, i dont think you will attract the type of crowds clubs would get in the early 70's and 80's,. Then you had big sponsorship also national paper exposure, now you have nothing, clubs have to fend for themselves. We at Poole are lucky we are a high profile club that has and can attract good sponsorship thanks to Matt ford and his tireless work, other clubs are not so lucky. And when the casual looker watches speedway on TV and fair play, you have the likes of Pearson and Mr modorbike trying to ramp up 1234 its a bit of a turn off. no matter how hard they try.. Losing the majority of the top boys to Britsh speedway has not helped our cause as a promotional aspect either.
  19. I assume the other person who mentioned it hasnt either then.. but as im from Poole and all that...
  20. Yeh, somebody else did mention this but i also feel Leicesters track would benifit from a bit more banking especially coming out of the turns, it is rather flat and doesnt help the cause of riders that want to go high. some agree with banking some dont. Otherwise its definately gives riders home advantage .
