  1. Even if Glyn had heavily watered the track from the time he got in would not have had that effect mate. It was deep into the track. And Glyn would definately not, have watered on an already saturated track..
  2. Mate. Im neither going to argue with the dumb dumbs on here nor reply to them. I got to the stadium at approx 11.30. The track was sodden. We had a lot of rain last night, that was forcast, thats what we got. But even i was suprised at the state of the track. Glyn showed me, the rain had gone right through and the track was a quagmire deep down Glyn worked his Nuts off all day, on his own, no help whats so ever, including errecting the airfence which as anybody on here with half a brain cell on will know, when they are flat and you put them up tons of water comes off them, There is nothing, you can do about it That is and was pretty restricted to the outer part of the track. And before anybody mentions it, the area Glyn showed me was well away from airfence reach. In the afternoon, it was clear that because we had no drying wind and it was muggy the track was not going to dry, no matter what he did, he could have put the spikes in all the way round to help the track breathe he may well have done that, but even that may, not have helped. So he tried to pre-emped the riders and bladed it off to hopefully give it a chance to dry a bit more in the last 3-4 hrs before the meeting started. Sadly, the REFEREE Grahame Reave one of our most experienced referees, deemed the track UNFIT to race, i dont know if the riders were involved. It took everybody by suprise. I asked 2 former riders who are part of our track staff what they thought, they said they wouldnt ride it.. Clearly, the damage was done overnight. First and formost, the riders do not earn the fans do not get to see Speedway and Matt would have lost a fortune tonight given it was a school holiday and we would have got a decent crowd judging by the ques outside This has been a total disaster and everybody is pretty cheesed off.. The amount of rain we have had this winter and spring puts rainy Manchester in the shade. This is what i know and all i know.. I will not add to this, nor reply to any other poster.
  3. I gather you are not talking about Gomolski replacing Spanner. Gomolski's average is a lot higher..
  4. I hope your right mate. Speedway has always been known as a friendly sport. Ok everybody sticks up for there clubs, some on here take it a stride to far, but we do not need that in Speedway. its also creeping into horse racing, and we dont need that either thats why its being jumped on, now.. I ask any fan from any club, if they see this sort of behaviour they should report it to the stewards forthwith.
  5. Yeh but DC doesnt know that. He tries to be funny and clever at the same time, but really and truely, he's neither..
  6. Very true ht 12, sorry, typo, after that we only had to see the meeting out, It will do Woryna the world of good to drop to reserve. He has a lot of abillity and this should help him build his confidence. Starkeys just a stop gap until Klint comes in. Then we have to get the rest of the side firing. We are improving, as ive already said, and last night showed that. But ht 15 was suicidal..We will get there, rest assured.
  7. So would have i. But Neil did the hard work in ht 11 with the reserve switch, we only had to see the meeting out. Things are improving and having Woryna at reserve is a massive plus it will do his confidence the world of good., But we cannot afford to make silly mistakes like that. Its done nothing we can do about it now, we just have to pick ourselves up and go again on weds.
  8. Morris comes down of his own accord in ht 8 and tries to get a re-run. But was excluded... Tough...
  9. Not tonight mate, but i'd be happy with a point. As ive said. NOBODY, will win at Wolves this season..
  10. Sunstrom is a better rider than he's been showing mate. He's now starting to show that. Superb jesture by Dave Smith of Bournemouth bedding last week to help him out with an engine. Shame Kasper cannot go to reserve, it would have done his confidence the world of good.
  11. Matt does what he feels is best for the club. Time was ticking so he had to make a move. James would have improved in time, but Matt unfortunately cannot wait for that. if averages drop you are in trouble to replace.. Its a cut throat business, and its not restricted to our club, just you only hear about it when we make changes.. Funny that..
  12. Dont agree Arthur. James was riding to his average this season. Matt pointed out, it will be hard for him this season, but the lad took the bull by the horns purchased new equipment and took on a second night. up untill he was drropped he posted his best score paid 11 for Sheffield, that in my book is improvement. He was not going to improve overnight but he was getting there. But, because the club is built on success Matt has to do what he feels is right for the club sponsors and the fans.
  13. He knows nothing Sid, thats why he hides behind an Alias.. I have him blocked, and it will stay that way..
  14. Your opinion. But you seemed to have convieniently forgot about his serious injuries that could have finished his career, and his personal problems that will take there toll, speedway is a dangerous enough sport without things on your mind. Stick to pulling your side to pieces eh..
