  1. I lost a fair wedge, on at 4/6. Still think is was a good bet, and I would go for it again given the same circumstances. Still, it hurts to lose though!
  2. I've off to the GP soon and am now looking at the hotel situation, was looking at the holiday inn which I assume is in the town centre (should be by the price they charge). What is the travel like to the stadium and will it be easy from the town centre, I can't seem to find any stadium info anywhere which is making life very hard. many thanks, Raymond
  3. I'm now in the sunny climates of Mildura, Anyone know the start time for Saturday, cheers,
  4. I'm off to Mildura next week and looking forward to it, What sort of attendances are we seeing at the champs this year?
  5. Anybody have the dates and venues for the Aus solo titile this year, I know they have previously been on the forum but I cant find them. I understand they are provisional at the moment, but anything will do. cheers,
  6. I remember that from next year GP will be with 16 riders, constructed of 8 + 6 + 2 qulaifiers; However I read that from 2006 there will be no direct qualification to the GP's, with the line up being 8 + 6 + 2 wild cards. Is this correct? Surely they cannot close the shop on qulaification. This is the sort of behavoir I expect from English Ruby union, not british speedway. I've backed BSI until now, however I feel that this is extracting the urine a little.
  7. Since I've moved to Melbourne for a year I'll be missing all of th UK season. Thus what are the options available as far as Speedway on TV in Australia are concerned. I've just about figured out Aus TV channels ( I have cable), so where should I be looking for speedway action. I assume I'll only see GP action, cheers,
  8. Anyone have any ideas as to the 2004 wild cards. Who deserves one and who will get one may not be the same thing. I suspect that Mark Loram will get one and maybe Lee Richardson, but what about Lukas Dryml and M.Max. The'll need Drymal for Czech interest, but I think Max could be blown out. I'd be interested in anyone elses opinion. Also if Protesiewicz qualifies automatically will Simon Stead take a place...
  9. I was in Oslo last month and it's worth loads going to the right airport. Theres a really good train from the good airport (can't remember the title)into town where you can then go on from. BA did me a really good flight leaving on a friday for only £130.00 My mate in Oslo reckoned that the Ryanair airport was over 1 hours drive away from town.
  10. from a betting point of view all bets will be void and you will be refunded your stake. Do NOT expect your bet to roll over onto next saturday cos if it ends up a winner you are unlikely to be paid out.
  11. Whilst I understand your point I do think that the current route is the correct one. Tonight's first 3 heats where an embarrasment to OUR sport and I for one am glad that the meeting is to be restagd. My hat went off to those guys who faced the crowd, I wouldn't have fancied it. I would love to have been in either of the 2 meetings and was intererested to hear BSI be so scathing about the track preparation. I'm sure we'll get a fuller story throughout the week and will look forward to hearing it. In the long term I think it will be good for the sport and ensure that the 1 offs are of a better quality, people like sky will let them off once but not again. Means we get 2 GP's in two weeks though.
  12. Just been on the Stan James Website and they have SGP series prices up as follows: Rickardsson, Tony 2/5 Pedersen, Nicki 3/1 Adams, Leigh 10/1 Crump, Jason 11/1 My opinion is that they have priced TR a bit too short and by consequence have had to open out the others to balance the market. Whilst there is every chance that TR will take the title (IMO 80%) Stan James odds equate to the following percentages: Pedersen, Nicki 25% Adams, Leigh 9.09% Crump, Jason 8.33% Ther as got to be some value in the others, my problem who is gonna pick up the pieces if TR doesn't do it. Forum opinions please.....................
  13. I'm moving from London to Melbourne next Feb and wondered what options are available to me re: speedway. Is there league racing of any sort or is it open meetings, In addition is there any speedway on TV over there. Finally I'm also a soccer fan and wondered if any UK soccer was covered over there. Cheers, Raymond
