  1. Val By royal and regal command - HAVE A DRINK  If I can take Cheryl in then you can do it. See ya'll there - Cheryl (she's 11) will have a Swedish flag and I'll probably wear my navy blue adidas trackie top with "Scotland UK" on the back Its our first GP - but know Midnight Lady, Pammie (ouch! I've suddenly gone deaf - pass the solpadeine), Lioness, DawnG and Pirate as well as Valc and of course Dekker. Would like to meet up with more of you - especially those exiles stuck dan sauff.

    Charlie Monk

Spot on Cylclone - Charlie was my hero when I first started attending speedway in 1966/7 at White City. He was painfully shy and rarely gave interviews on the centre green to the fans or take a lap of honour after winning a race. It certainly wasn't any disrespect to the fans, he prefered to do his talking on the track. I think that he ran Barry Briggs close in 1967 averages - did he not lead averages until last week of season? or was it earlier. It was an honour to have watched him ride for the Tigers both at White City and at Hampden. A true gentleman! RESPECT!

    Ken McKinlay

I'm sure that all Tigers fans and Scots will be saddened by this news. I had the priviledge of seeing Hurri-Ken at White City riding for the Hammers and Scotland (and guesting for Tigers too!). Thanks for the memories Ken RIP "When will we see yer likes again" (lyrics from "Flower of Scotland")
