  1. Probably never. The new master plan for 2019 is, raise the admission price.
  2. You can't let clubs go bust to further the careers of a handful of british riders. Woffinden doesn't ride here, despite the fixed race nights.
  3. Well done Barry. It's nice to get some reward for all your hard work.
  4. I wonder how the homeowners will react if the stadium remains in its present location. So much uncertainty attached to the whole project.
  5. The likes of Chapman and Ford must have a few bob, but the majority live hand to mouth.
  6. Like you say, if it's a credible source then it should be true. My mate worked for Spedeworth for over 20 years until retirement. So i had no reason to doubt him.
  7. If thats the case Arnie, I'll have a word with my Spedeworth mate. He was quite high up the food chain there, and is not known for telling porkies.
  8. I'm only saying what a friend who worked for spedeworth told me. It's been a topic on Mildenhall forums as well.
  9. To be fair, the axe has been hanging over Arena Essex for years. I always approached recent seasons thinking it could be the last. The failure to finish the season at purfleet, was the most disappointing thing for me.
  10. I wouldn't hold your breath. Spedeworth imposed a hefty rent rise on Mildenhall this year. There are no free lunches on stadium landlords.
  11. Would you buy one if you had the conkers, i know i wouldn't. It's equivalent to a one way ticket on the Titanic.
  12. In this climate of uncertainty, who would buy a speedway club.
  13. I think BMR upset the old boys club. When you do that, there is only one winner.
  14. Are you employed by BMR, you seem to defend everything they do. Ranging from stadium facilities to rider payments. Go and ask them if the riders have been paid.
  15. Rye House were forced from their traditional saturday nights to the graveyard wednesdays. Add this to the reduction in TV money, it's not hard to see how they ran into difficulties.
  16. Why would developers buy a site that was totally unsuitable to be built on. All very strange. Perhaps they are playing the long game.
  17. Go read his october interview and find out for yourself.
  18. I think a lot of riders are used to it. The crowds are so low at a lot of tracks, cash flow must be a common problem.
  19. Harris stated in an interview he was owed for nine meetings by the Rye House promotion. That interview is in the public domain. That is why i mentioned it. It's not that hard to understand, is it?
  20. I don't know him, I'm just going by an interview he gave last month. He said the money owed hit him hard financially. I've heard plenty of rumours from people in the know, regarding riders being out of pocket. A public forum is not the place for such matters to be discussed. Harris went public with his grievances, that's why i mentioned it.
  21. It's a fantasy to suggest that all Polish people love speedway, the vast majority have probably never heard of it. It's only in certain parts of the country, mainly the big cities, that it is popular. How many Poles attend British speedway, very few i reckon.
  22. Surely if you cough up the bond, that should entitle you to a seat at the table. A sport like speedway needs fresh ideas, not the same old voices.
