  1. Congratulations to Alex and Doyley for qualifying for their Championships. From the scores it looks like Alex was on top form. There are some noticeable names in the list of non-qualifiers! See here for the details.
  2. But not half as much fun as winding up a very agitated Starman2006. Think he needs to take a few Tomazepam. "YOU ARE JOKING? IF NOT, KEEP UP! ALTERNATIVELY, READ THE WEBSITE!" Now that is shouting! Was just politely suggesting you catch up with the news on the official website.
  3. Not in South Wales but in the South West yes and that is the Somerset Rebels but only if you can take all the excitement.
  4. You are joking? If not, keep up! Alternatively, read the website!
  5. As it is now officially Christmas day, I would like to wish all my fellow Rebels supporters and all Speedway supporters alike a "Very Happy Christmas". Hopefully 2013 will see us have a drier season to secure Speedway through the year and beyond. Willowman
  6. Not as much as a punt but possibly an inflatable dingy.
  7. Yes. The Dunbar Bandits does have a bit of a ring to it.
  8. Totally agree with you. Somehow or another though he just seems to fail to bang in the points consistently. Sometimes it is that he has an off through trying too hard. Sad to see him go nevertheless.
  9. Typo! And as you know I also have a bit of a hearing problem! Can I think of any more excuses?
  10. I was only having a bit of a joke with oldtimer but what you are suggesting is no joke. It is my worst nightmare. I'm sitting hear having a panic attack just with the horrific thought of it.You should be very careful with what you say.
  11. A rider as announced by Rob from the box at the OTA
  12. As he has been left out of the Rebels team, it is interesting that he is included in the Christmas Cracker. You just watch him go out and win this one to put himself well and truly in the shop window. Or yet again, he could come last. That is what you get.
  13. Well there is no chance of him exceeding it is there?
  14. What, Newport are to make a shock return!!!! That will please Dietbowers et al.
  15. Yes you are. Or another way of looking at it 7 riders x 4 rides/CMA = 28 rides = 14 heats = 42 points. So you are building a side to 42.5 points to try and get 42 points. A very small strengthening year on year!
  16. Not new news. He already had his hi-vis on after your little faux pas.
  17. Just wanted to add my condolences too. Without Merv and the many people like him behind the scenes there just wouldn't be speedway in Somerset. RIP Merv, a true gentleman.
  18. Listen to you with your "vacation". You will be laughing hysterically at us using a rubber to get rid of pencil marks next rather than an eraser. . I was on holiday last weeked and on holiday Monday/Tuesday. Hope to take the Mick see you tonight.
  19. What, full re-admission or subsidised re-admission?If it full re-admission that makes things considerably worse for those who turned up on Wednesday to support the Rebels on a non Friday. I'm suffering from numerical diarrhoea (and yes I did have to look up the spelling).
  20. I would advise you to find out what the conditions of re-entry are before assuming you will be able to do this.Normally what happens after a meeting is abandoned is that the announcer states what the conditions are before everyone leaves, e.g. valid for the next three home meeting excluding special events or for when the meeting is re-staged. This did not happen on the Wednesday. I think that the promotors may have followed the book on this one. I seem to recall that you are allowed a £1 for every heat not riden up to heat 12. So that would make a refund of £7 applicable if I am correct. Looking at this again, the promotion are effectively giving us a £5 discount for the double header, i.e. £14 + £14 - £23 = £5 discount. Applying this £5 discount to the charge for Friday it works out like this. Two meetings at full price = £28 plus £7 for the 5 heats we had on Wednesday = £35. Apply the discount of £5 double header discount on this and we get £30. Apply the £2 discount voucher we get £28, less £14 already paid gives £14 to pay which is what is being charged. So you may find that you are not entitled to a full refund but a reduced refund of £7. It may be that you are not entitled to any refund unless you attend the re-staged meeting which is obviously Friday. So beware. Hope you followed this 'starshooter'. Hope everyone remembered to keep their discount voucher as well as the re-entry ticket otherwise it will start getting more expensive ! Fill your boots DB. It is an absolute bargain for you.
