  1. Not a lot being said about "Rebels 2014" but I shouldn't care as I vowed never to read this topic until our season was over and behold, here I am. Damned hypocrite.
  2. Perhaps the playoffs would be more palletteable if more emphasis was placed on actually winning the league itself. Then it would be viewed as a super contest involving the best teams of the season for a final go at winning a significant trophy. It would also make sense reinstating the Young Shield too to give more teams and their supporters the opportunity of wrapping up the season. (Off back under my stone).
  3. Yes but they weren't racing against Redcar or Newcastle, so what has that got to do with anything? (Lights blue touch paper and stands well back!)
  4. Solid sunshine 20 miles from the track in Yatton. A bit breezy which is not a bad thing for keeping the clouds moving (although not really rain threatening clouds in any case).
  5. If my memory serves me correctly, wasn't this an issue when he last rode for the Bandits?
  6. Where do you get this rubbish from? After your thumping result yesterday I would think it is all up for grabs. Keep it close on Friday and you thump us on Sunday and you are through.
  7. Taken from here."As I said after we had finished the 1st leg, we are only at the halfway stage of things and nothing is won yet. Of course 28 points is a good lead to take with us into tomorrow's 2nd leg, but we cannot let ourselves think that the job is done and all we have to do is turn up tomorrow and the cup is ours." If you promise to let it drop, I promise to do likewise. I'm not expecting you to like the Rebels any more than you do though!
  8. Definately not. Just a Rebels supporter with arguably a sense of humour failure.
  9. I think that what OT meant was that if the Rebels failed to get an away win then hopefully they will get a better margin of win at home to compensate. The group looks like all teams will win at home and possibly loose away so points difference will be crucial. The first team to pick points on their travels may be the team to progress through to the final.
  10. Aargh! What a plonker. Just don't want my season to end.
  11. After following the exploits of other teams in the PLPO I didn't realise that the Rebels kick off their matches on Thursday away from home. Very surprised that nobody has started this topic as the Bears are sitting pretty and bouyed by an away win at Rye House. Hopefully the Rebels can do a bit better than the PL match and come away with some points in the bag. The heat leaders all had a good night last night for their EL clubs so hopefully they will be able to take that form up North. As far as I know it is Olly for Lewis again and a full house after that. I never know whether to follow the meeting on the updates site and put this kiss of death on the Rebels chances or just let fate take its course? Of course you Bears fans will be hoping for the former. This might be another tight one.
  12. Well you could but it would have to be an extremely long one!
  13. Deary me. You really do have a downer on Somerset. Where on earth do you get this "Some people think their teams just need to turn up" rubbish from?
  14. Think it is all in your head. I'll be calling you 'Dietbowers the 2nd' from now on with all those negative Rebels vibes.
  15. And if the Monachs did and the Rebels finished third at least it would all be fair rather than having missed meetings by the cutoff date.
  16. I know where my allegiance is. It is only you that is getting confused.
  17. Oi, this is my favourite meeting of the season so must go ahead.
  18. As long as he frequents the OTA, that is sufficient -- although we haven't seen much of him lately.Come on down DB, you know it makes sense.
  19. Of course he would deny being a Rebels supporter but why did he follow them in particular on their Northern tour. He would have you believe it was to cheer on the opposition but we all know the real reason. Ah ha! Right on cue DB.
  20. Well he is in the preview so I would have thought the promotion would have got it right!
  21. Has he made a remarkable recovery? I stand corrected. Looks like he has. No more guest appearances for the Rockets by Josh then.
  22. A lot to be said for having a team (almost) full of Ozzies. But don't even mention doubling up / re-arranged fixtures.
