OK, yes, I knew that James Denham (and Steve Whitehead) was out in Aussie, but thought that Hansen was helping out a bit as well, which can only be good for team spirit, etc. No worries...

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Reviresco replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
That, of course, is the $64m Question... Scorpions, I guess, will be hoping that the rest of the team rides well enough to raise their averages and counter any drop in Holub's assessed average... -
Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Reviresco replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Holub scored 12pts plus 4 bonus from his 15 rides for Scunthorpe last season, so even an attained average of 5 may be pushing it. With Klindt in the team and Holub on his assessed 7, the combined average is 42.16 I think. Could be looking at 8+ points available if Klindt does move on when Holub attains an average. -

Layne Cupitt has a great opportunity spending the winter in Australia with the World Champion, if he doesn't waste it.

Minimum Cover requirement for running a Speedway Meeting is: 1 x Medical Officer (as per Regulation 8.4), 1 x Ambulance 1 x Ambulance Driver 1 x Ambulance Attendant 4 x Other First Aiders If the numbers drop below this, the meeting should be halted. EDIT: P.S. Think we are in the 21st Century, now, not the 20th

Not everyone. Almost everyone, maybe, but not everyone.

The 2015 Speedway regulations include under: 8. MEDICAL CODE "8.4 An MO is either i) a Doctor [who must have Full Registration and a licence to practice from the General Medical Council (GMC), hold Personal Medical Malpractice Cover appropriate for pre-hospital immediate care, (NHS Crown Indemnity is not applicable) and must not be subject to working in a GMC Approved Practice Setting (APS)] or ii) a Paramedic (registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (www.hpc-uk.org) and hold appropriate Personal Medical Malpractice Insurance cover. 8.4.1 The CMO will be a Doctor (or nominated if more than one Doctor is present), otherwise it will be a Paramedic (or nominated if more than one Paramedic is present)." Hope this helps.

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Reviresco replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
And for some reason, Scunthorpe tweeted the news of Klindt's signing for Leicester this morning... -
Not that it makes a lot of difference, but I believe that the Speedway GP site is showing incorrect scores for the 'A' Finalists from Round 1 of the Australian Solo Championships at Kurri, as in the past the 'A' Final has scored 4, 3, 2, 1 points and not 3, 2, 1, 0 points. http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/4657/tungate-triumphs-at-kurri-kurri This seems to be confirmed by both the Kurri score sheet and the MA website: http://www.kurrikurrispeedway.org.au/Results%202016%20Australian%20Speedway%20Solo%20Championship%201.pdf http://www.ma.org.au/index.php?id=12&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=15558&tx_ttnews[backPid]=6&cHash=2514c21aeb Photo images from the Qualifying Event and Round 1 can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1558352467535208&type=3&l=102eed817c https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=1558871467483308&id=162382413798894

Scunthorpe have just re-tweeted the news of Klindt's re-signing for Leicester. Whether you can read anything into that...?

Batchelor broke his arm out riding MX with Holder, Watt & Rose in England on 20th December didn't he, not in Australia? Would make sense if he then saw a specialist in London.
-
But isn't this why Buster Chapman has changed Kings Lynn's race-night from Wednesday to Thursday for the 2016 season? I would've thought that KL moving to a Thursday is an indication of one of the BEL's future 'fixed' race-nights. which then puts the futures of Ipswich, Redcar and Sheffield under some question.

Gordon Pairman has posted on the Heat Leader List thread a very interesting response, including: "Jon Cook’s article in the Star – which was simply his views, and not an official release - explained the process for creating the list which comprised 38 riders, not the 23 shown in the Star which only included riders who had ridden in UK in 2015, nor the 37 released by the BSPA press office which missed out Linus Sundstrom. This list was agreed by all of the Elite League promotions and confirmed on 2 November. The list that the BSPA forum member, SCB, produced might have been useful to our discussions – I will return to that in a moment – but it didn’t appear until 18 November, by which time the decisions had been made. By the way, I gather that the “thick or biased or both” quote from Jon Cook was aimed at a fellow promoter who tried to reopen the discussions on the list, not any supporter." The last sentence maybe shows that Jon Cook's reported comments have been misinterpreted.

So, it looks as if there was more to Taylor Poole's non-appearance in the Championship Qualifier, as it is now reported that he has quit the sport: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=4644

It does, if you continue on to read the bit: About Team Player Management Co Ltd: "Team Player Management & Co Ltd owns the rights to run shows and use the Stars On Ice brand in Europe and the Middle East under the agreement with the IMG. Another brand to which Team Player Management & Co Ltd owns the rights to is the FIM World Speedway League; an agreement has been signed with the FIM for the years 2016-2025. Team Player Management & Co. Ltd is known for organizing exciting and successful events in the United Kingdom. One of the many events hosted by Team Player Management was the “Londynski Kabareton” (London comedy show) in the Victoria Apollo Theatre at the West End. Poland 2016 Season Extraleague News
Reviresco replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Has anyone any concrete information on the reported amendments to points money in Polish league racing in 2016: 25% of points money paid if a rider finishes behind two opposition riders, i.e. when a heat score is 5-1 against; and 50% of points money paid if a rider takes a Tactical or Rider Replacement ride?
