Well done to Brady, but IMO his 'celebration' after the 'B' Final was more to do with relief after getting a second chance from the re-run as he made a bit of a hash of the first start in the 'B' Final and in Heat 20. Think I'm right in saying that going into the 'A' Final, Kurtz was 2 points up on Masters, so Masters could've taken it to a run-off for the Title at least and if (big if) Masters had won the 'A' Final he would've been Champion. Tungate's 2 x tapes exclusions and falls during the Series and Sedgmen's misfortune in Round 2 did for their chances. Very close Series amongst some well matched riders. Would like to see Jordan Stewart given a go in the UK, but doubt anyone would take him on an assessed 5.

Don't know if Ruml is any better than Aaron Fox who averaged around 4 when he was over with Edinburgh? Cam Heeps as a HL would be a step up for the lad.

No extra points from the 'B' Finals, just the 'A' Finals. I guess the 'extra' point for the 'A' Final, whether you finish the Heat or not, is as a 'reward' for making the Final and to put a point on the riders who didn't make it through from the 'B' Final. Goes against the grain a bit to earn points from exclusions, but thems the Rules and, as Blobby says, Kurtz also got a point from the 2nd Round 'A' Final despite being excluded. Not sure, but Brady may be the youngest ever Aussie Solo Speedway Champion?
-
So, Brady Kurtz wins the Aussie Solo Championships despite being excluded in 2 x 'A' Finals. Rohan's 2 x tapes exclusions and falls did for his chances. Guess Kurtz now gets the wildcard for the next Aussie SGP and Rohan qualifies for the Qualifiers.
-
And Brady Kurtz wins the 2016 Aussie Solo Speedway Championships despite being excluded in the 'A' Final today.

'I' before 'E' except after 'C' - and in Leicester...

Got the 'when' already then,,,

Would agree with that assessment Alan. Not sure how much you can read into the Victorian Championship, as they ran it as a 'closed shop' this year, but Jordan Stewart is a tidy rider and spent come time in the UK with Justin Sedgmen. Waters is a converted road-racer I think. If Rye were to bring in an assessed 5 pointer to replace Klindt, that would leave them a point under the limit of course. It's a tricky one finding someone to fill the vacancy that's been created. Will be interesting to see who the visa reliant rider will be.

It's being advertised as between 8am and 12pm GMT on Sunday and I would imagine the meeting wouldn't start before 8:30 AM GMT: http://www.nrgtv.com.au/live/ Hope this helps. (Tungate still an Ipswich asset afaik)

Six Riders To Improve There Average Any Thoughts.?
Reviresco replied to stratton's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You'll need to amend your pick Colin, with Taylor opting out of British speedway now. (Holub would need to go some, wouldn't he, from his assessed 7pt average and averaging under 4pts from his 15 rides in 2015...?) -
Yes, fueltaps, sitting 3pts behind Brady Kurtz going into the Final Round on 40pts along with Sam Masters. The tapes exclusion and fall could prove costly. (I see Rohan's signed up to ride for Lodz again in Poland this season having got out of his Gniezno contract). Not sure how well Tungate goes at Olympic Park, but didn't have a great one last year. For those interested, Cumulative Points after Round 3: 43 = Kurtz 40 = Tungate & Masters 37 = Fricke & Morris 31 = Holder 30 = Campton 28 = Sedgmen 19 = Proctor 18 = Waters 17 = Stewart 11 = Pickering 10 = A MacDonald 07 = Grajczonek & Riordan 06 = Sproule 04 = J MacDonald

Sounds as if Josh had an interesting journey back home from Round 2 of the Aussie Championships. Rohan made the 'A' Final again today and, along with Sam Masters, is sitting in 2nd place in the standings, 3 points behind Brady Kurtz going into Sunday's Final Round at Mildura - which is being streamed live. Tungate has also signed up for KZ Orzel Lodz in the amalgamated Polish League 1/2 for 2016.

As you say Steve and indeed it is as, at the beginning of November he was saying that riding in 2016 was not an option as he wasn't sure that it was 100% what he wanted to do and he was looking to mechanic full-time for a rider. Maybe Revolution Speedway has provided Lewis with the 'motivation' he needed to ride again, but time will tell. Maybe a place at Leicester is there for him...?
-
Not too sure about that the second part, as Bridger has been signed up by the Revolution Speedway Pro Race Team and is back in training and looking forward to 2016...
-
Still wouldn't be able to ride in the PL on a Polish licence.
-
He probably would, but wouldn't be allowed to ride in the PL on a Polish licence.

Looking at the Peterborough 2016 Thread, it seems that the Panthers have been in contact with KB, along with Peter Karlsson & Norbert Kosciuch, about a team place for this season: http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/speedway/speedway-bjerre-could-be-back-to-spearhead-panthers-title-challenge-1-7148580#ixzz3waE02LzG The Provisional Polish Ekstraliga fixtures have been issued today, so this may be the catalyst to UK teams completing their line-ups.

Peterborough Panthers 2016

Provisional Polish Ekstraliga fixtures have been released today, so things may move forward now on the rider front now. (KB re-signed for Unia Tarnow for 2016, I think): http://speedwayekstraliga.pl/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/terminarz2016.pdf (Looks as if there are some Friday fixtures on here) -
Josh Grajczonek has withdrawn from the 2016 Aussie Solo Championships following crashes in both of the first two rounds. Grajczonek has suffered a shoulder injury, two knocks to the head and also badly damaged two bikes. He will be replaced by Reserve, Joshua MacDonald. Despite injuring his AC joint and suffering some muscle damage, Justin Sedgmen has declared his intention to take part in Round 3 at Gillman tomorrow, after undergoing physio and with x-rays confirming no broken bones. (A link has been posted on Justin's Facebook page for anyone who wants to follow the final Round in his home State of Victoria at Mildura from 8.00 AM GMT on Sunday)
