  1. Like an earlier poster said, they should be racing for the last place in the team, as there are no longer any "Junior Jaunts" or "Reserve Romps" ()... the logical thing to do would be to have Clegg in the Cubs team in place of Dan and/or Joe (who are wasting their time in that league) and compete for it.
  2. I suppose the proof of that particular pudding will be tested when Poland come knocking with a suitcase full of money as the lad has a BIG future... and who would blame him for taking the coin
  3. Fair play to Lawson there, man enough to kiss and make up
  4. Richard Lawson's finger has been busy this week... that's the 2nd time it's had an outing!
  5. It's been like it since the start of the season to be fair
  6. Does anybody else find the picture jerky on the stream? Or is it just me?
  7. I can't believe that Adam Roynon just said in commentary that "James Sarjeant isn't normally one for jumping at the start"... words fail me!
  8. Was just listening to a podcast this morning and they mentioned that Wolves have a "voluntary" curfew of 10:30, so should be alright all things being well
  9. Why have a Cubs team then if you're constantly going to overlook the riders you are developing? It's debatable whether Max Clegg is "alot" better than Connor Coles
  10. They've ridden Speedway in Australia and Italy in extreme heat, later in the evening but I doubt they were also racing against a curfew
  11. I'm not so sure he's "hyped up" but I agree he's not a CL rider in its current setup. He probably should be a decent 2nd string come reserve in a proper strength 2nd division. They should have promoted from within imo.
  12. Because they've only got an extra 30 minutes to prep the track in probably the hottest conditions of the year, a track that's reportedly been a bit on the dodgy side all year and with kicking off at 8 it may bring the curfew into play if there's any faffing about
  13. Will they be supplying deck chairs and free ice cream?
  14. Where have you been... did you miss the big announcement across all the media outlets?
  15. Yes, the start has been put back by 30 minutes to allow for extra track work as they can't get on there until after 6pm, because of the doggies... doesn't bode well
  16. I must admit I thought this thread would be a bit busier today, perhaps people have just given up... All of what you say is absolutely spot on of course... how many times do you hear the phrase "circumstances totally beyond our control"? They'll probably wheel that one out for the re-wiring of the starting tapes, coming up with some excuse about how it's the stadium owners responsibility. If it's effecting your business, you sort it out! Reading the match report on the Sheffield website, it was just bad luck, so there you go.
  17. Now I may have misremembered, but when I attended my first match at Leicester back in the 1977 season the admission price was £0.75, if you run that through an inflation calculator it equates to that being around £5.75 in today's money. To go to watch a film at the cinema, you can watch any film at any time for £4.99. The price of going to Speedway has spiralled out of control
  18. Yeah I know, but there are some people on here insinuating that Glasgow just take who they want, it takes two (or 3 of you include the rider) to tango
