  1. A big screen to watch replays while waiting for sky to allow the riders out for the next race. Made it a lot more interesting at Belle Vue on Monday... and they managed to hold their prices
  2. It's a pity Mick couldn't run to getting a big screen in out of the extra £2 admission... or even run to a shovel and bucket to clear the quagmire up outside the pits. But perhaps I'm asking too much for £20
  3. Belle Vue didn't take the p1ss out of their supporters... yet Coventry do
  4. Of course I'll be there and I'll still be there long after Mick has gone... with all his extra £2's
  5. Was working until 18:00 in Warrington last Wednesday, no way to get to Brandon for 19:30 Principle, obviously something you've left behind some time ago
  6. I went to the BV vs Swindon semi last night... usual admission price £17.50 Take note greedy Mick
  7. I thought this was a double header with the Storm... is this not the case now?
  8. It's on sky, the track will be a joke... it's a tradition we like to keep up at Coventry
  9. It's dangerous, always has been, always will be. This doesn't however mean that everything that can be done for safety shouldn't be done. Perhaps the biggest innovation in the last 15 years has been the air fence... yet this still lifts when a rider hits it today the same as it did on day one and nothing has ever been done about this fundamental design flaw. Also these air bags need to be installed down the straights, all it needs is for a solid membrane (a thin solid plastic barrier) to be placed between the bags and the riders so as not to "suck them in", this way they could still bounce against the fence and the airbags still absorb the impact. I can't believe the finest minds in the sport have let either go unfixed
  10. NO! I won't have that... we do know that the 50/50 hasn't been claimed
  11. I don't agree with a lot of the stick you come in for here on this forum... but come on, what facts? BEES v SWINDON, PREVIEW Friday August 21, 2015 ... Full team news to follow on Friday.
  12. Because it was wazzing it down all afternoon and this is not the first time it's happened on a Wednesday
  13. Typical BV any supporters attracted by Monday's match lost on the very next match
  14. Do we know who the ref was? He had a shocker... a bit like the announcer
  15. it's off innit, according to Bomber on twitter
  16. Actually I thought it was quite healthy considering the weather and it was a nothing match with made up teams... just think what it could be if it was run properly
  17. So that's what the interval is for... I'm glad at least your dog enjoys it So... I'm walking up the hill in the rain approaching the stadium and I can already hear the announcer banging on about the bloody interval, there's a 15 minute delay to let the rain clear, fair enough. Quite a long delay after heat 9 for Leicester to blade all the dirt off the track, that didn't really need it as it had been alright up until that point, I wonder if the fact that they were 8 points down at the time had anything to do with it... then a bloody interval as well after heat 11. All the shale dumped on the outside of the track seemed to cause 2 accidents involving Hall and Lawson, how the ref allowed it is beyond me?!? The ref didn't have a great night at all getting the exclusion wrong in Heat 12, there was also another incident that the ref missed, I can't remember the heat number (6?) when the rider in red definitely left the track after an unsatisfactory start yet wasn't excluded... At least there wasn't a sun delay
  18. blah blah blah blah... perhaps Norrie was expecting to see the teams as they were declared on the website?
