Belle Vue V Swindon 11 May, 2016.
hyderd replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's not always one can say they enjoyed getting beat at home, last night for me was one of those occasions, Swindon riders were obviously more happier with their bike set ups and it showed on the track. Some good races, even the some FTG races were good to watch with riders trying different lines. Heat 9 for us B V fans was the best race as young J J held on for a 5-1 with R W against the 2 Robins snapping at his back wheel, JJ certainly brought the house down in that race. I have no doubt that after a couple more home meeting the Aces will get their set ups right, their gateing boots on and hopefully start making the NSS a fortress. A big well done to the Robins on 4 well deserved points, if JD had of been there I recon we would of been on the end of a 56-34 tonking. -
it would be like losing an arm if Coventry were to close, signed. The very best of luck

Belle Vue V Swindon 11 May, 2016.
hyderd replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Only the grandstand was open for this match, the grandstand seats 2000 people, and from the camera angle it was impossible to see the Grandstand, I was there and would estimate between 1100 and 1200. As it was now our opening fixture then a tad smaller than I would of thought, but still more than some now El matches elsewhere and most if not all NL fixtures. Ours thanks go to Mildenhall for accepting this earlier match. -
I ask all R/House fans not to expect too much from young D Bewley, he had never sat on a speedway bike until the turn of this year, his score's for Edinburgh at reserve don't reflect his undoubted talent. Last night he was superb on a big fast Belle Vue track, he will learn his way round the smaller tracks in time.

Belle Vue Vs King's Lynn May 2nd

No I understand completely, however it still has nowt to do with Belle Vue postponing matches due to our wonderful north west weather and you can't compare wet 4 wheel motor sport to wet speedway. -

Well why make statements that 4 wheel motor sports race in wet weather conditions on a speedway site. I recon the clown suits you better. -

Are you for real, you are expecting riders to race round at speed unable to see properly because of the wet shale being thrown up at them by the bike in front. Last year our sport lost perhaps the most talented speedway rider on this planet at the moment to a nasty racing accident in near perfect conditions (weather wise), you expect others to unnecessarily put their life on the line for your pleasure. -
Wolverhampton V Poole. Ela 2/5/16
hyderd replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
not many teams will beat Poole, but I did say in the predictions thread that Wolves will be this seasons dark horses. I believe Wolves will win and take all the points 49-41 -
Belle Vue Vs King's Lynn May 2nd
hyderd replied to Star Lady's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
the forecast is changing daily, latest is that the rain/showers will stop at 1000 and be replaced by sunshine. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/sk2 That forecast is 7 miles from the track. -

The meeting itself could go either way as practice has been very limited, Obviously I want Belle Vue to win, but so long as the track produces races like we're expecting then I will be happy. Our boys will sus the best way round soon enough. -
Look at the 2 Poole reserves, as much as I dislike the fella he knows what he's doing. 4 heat leaders, 1 very good second string and the best 2 reserves in the league.

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
hyderd replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
blah, blah, blah, blah. Give it a rest now Robert, it's getting a tad boring. -
I'm sure I read somewhere that Belle Vue have 10 hrs per week track time. I believe thats track time only, so technically speaking if a race takes 4 mins including practice starts etc that's 1 hour per meeting so 10 meetings per week over 3 days per week, simples!

Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
hyderd replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm merely pointing out that Tai like any other person/sportsman/worker is entitled to choose where they work, it would be great if speedway in the UK was ridden in front of full houses and attracted the big names like yesteryear, but sadly it don't anymore and until it does we will not attract the big names. -

sorry to dissagree with you, but just because Tai chooses to earn his wages abroad (perfectly legal in the EU) that doesn't make him the person you are trying to make him. Like I said earlier, the blame lies solely at the door of the BSPA. -
Could Woffy Be Making An El Return?
hyderd replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why are you being so short sighted, Tai was brought up in Aus, and learnt to ride motor bikes including Speedway bikes down under and indeed was the under 16 Aus champion. He returned to these shores with his Parents as his Dad Rob! R.I.P. knew this was where Tai could fine tune his ability. He rode for Scunny and Rye House in the old Conference league, he's also rode at reserve for Poole before signing for Wolves. I believe Tai still considers Perth as his home, nowt wrong with that considering that's where he grew up! but as he has duel nationality he has chosen to represent GB at international level. As for being arrogant, then again I'm ok with that as this arrogant speedway rider has done more for Charity than any other world champ. -

You know full well where they started their football career, bit like where Tai started his, and if the EL was anywhere near as good as the Polish or Swedish leagues then Tai and many more GP riders would still be riding here. We've just had a winter full of slating how weak and poor the EL is, we need the powers that be to encourage top riders back, but that won't happen until it's worth it for them. And that my friend is a fact.
