Grand Prix Wrocław
tarabanko replied to ZKZ Kitten's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Cant praise Mr Tony Rickardsson enough... What a sportsman. Had a bad crash in Sweden on tuesday and could hardly sit after that. But on the bike he was so good. Antonio Lindbäck was just enjoying himself and this isnt the last time we will see him in the final. Andreas Jonsson started dreadful but came buck with some fine heat victorys. Cant wait enough to May 14 then the next Gp is running in my hometown... My tip is then on the rostrum: 1. Tony Rickardsson, 2. Andreas Jonsson 3. Antonio Lindbäck. -

Rickardsson Injured...
tarabanko replied to full-throttle's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Tony Rickardsson was one of the fastest on the training today. Theyd shown a few minutes on Swedish Telly from the practice and Rickardsson looked good. Tony Rickardsson is a tiger and hate to lose, so he will for sure be one of the main mens up there tommorow for sure. AJ did have problems with his engines and on top of that they had spelled his afternamne wrong, JONNSON it stood, bad. Antonio was really up for it to be a part of the gp series this year. Come on you SWEDES!!! -

I wonder if anybody has photos from now defunct tracks in England, as; New Cross, Harringay, Hyde Road, Birminghamn, Bristol, Crystal Palace, Edinburgh (Marine Gardens), Edinburgh (Old Meadowbank), Halifax (The Shay), Lea Bridge, Leicester, London White City, Norwich (The Firs), Plymouth, Stamford Bridge, and West Ham. I also want to know that there is at the old speedwaytracks now. This is only for my own curiosity.. Cheers

Has read it too that it was 130.000 persons at the 1976 World Final. Talking of big crowds so has I read that in Pardubice there the Golden Helmet are staged. Crowds over 100.000, peoples was turned away as the stadium was full. Maybe someone can confirm it?

Thanks Rick for the quick answer. Yeah those memories are great to remember. Must ask you: Are you regretting something about your speedwaycareer? Are there things you could have done better..? What was the best with speedway? Whats was the worse? Take Care Mikael

Hej Rick! Saw you a couple of times in Sweden then you raced for Örnarna. Remember reading somewhere then you left Örnarna what you had a speak in swedish. Remember that? Got any memories of Sweden? Take care! Mikael Johnsson Eskilstuna Sweden

Lejon.. The crowds in england arent so biggish no more, sadly. Think Poole got the best attendance overall. As always to raise your crowds you must be seen and be worth looking at. Go Lejonen for a place in Elitserien 2005.
