ok so tickets have arrived, but cant decide where to book a hotel need one that offers parking as will prob want a few drinks prior to the race meetings. It looks like parking in manchester city centre is limited so im looking at salford quays, stockport, didsbury oldham etc, which area would be best? is there a particular pub/bar that everyone meets up in as its always nice to meet up with fellow speedway fans?

I would love to go and watch the ice speedway either in st. johann or inzell does anybody know how you go about getting tickets for these events?

Im afraid i agree with driver, i very rarely write anything on these forums due to the insults that seem to be hurtled at people over some silly little remark, however i do still end up reading thru them at least twice a day, it shouldnt matter which format of text you use so long as the language is not abusive. not only did we have a cancelled meeting then to top the weekend off a treat our plane was cancelled, unlike no information at the stadium ryan air sorted us out a flight from frankfurt only a 4 hour coach trip from dusseldorf lol! But on the plus side still had a brill weekend met loads of people and actually felt quite jolly after a few vodkas.

that sounds a good idea, is the train station walkable to the stadium and are there trains late at nite?

we havent booked anything yet not even a flight, at the moment looks like we may fly to weeze and hire a car, but we both like to have a pre match drink so ideally would like to stay near the stadium. But if theres not much happening near the stadium maybe we would be better in Essen or dusseldorf.

where is everyone staying?

Rob B, I notice from another thread that you flew into Trieste last year, we are flying there this year on the Friday, is it fairly straight forward to get to Ljubljana? Looking at the via michelin map getting from the airport onto the E70 looks a bit tricky. Is anyone else staying in Ljubljana? and does anybody know any good places to go on the friday night for a bit of a booze up come boogie? Getting excited now, only 3 more sleeps.

went to wroclaw last year and would have liked to have gone to leszno, but that does sound a bit dodgy with the trains could you be guaranteed a place on the 01.34 as that would be a long wait till the next train.

does anybody know if there are any hotels in krsko, and if so can they give me the details. Not sure where we are going to fly into, ljbjluna is now £500 for the two of us with easy jet, zagreb is about £280 with wizz and Trieste is £84 with ryanair if anyone has done the last route would be interested to know how easy the drive would be. Also if there are any other airports that are driveable. Thanks for the help. jane

Yes they have changed the times but there are 2flights on the thursday and we are on the 13.25pm one are you? I wish they hadnt changed the sunday one though, bit of an early start if we're going to be partying all night and im not quite as young as i once was.

Im putting my money on Bjarne, not sure he will be first but reckon he will be a good each way bet, plus hes better odds than the top riders. I think Lindback will do well at lonigo so at 33/1 will go for him for tonight. Not that im a gambler or anything.
