Cardiff Winner, Predictions
Saint Rob replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
1 Leigh Adams 2 Andreas Jonsson 3 Jarek Hampel 4 Bjarne Pedersen Cardiff is always the round where the top dogs flop, so expecting to Crumpy & Nicki to bow out in the semis. As usual, Stroppy will choke it after scoring 5 points. Lindback to hit the tapes and/or crash. Gollob to poodle around at the back, look dis-interested and then come alive with a couple of wins -

Heat 5 - Nicki all the way after Lindback gets out of control Heat 6 - Super smooth from Adams Heat 7 - Hampel & Bjarne all the way. Holta and Howe nowhere Heat 8 - Harris with a fine cut back, Scotty flatters to deceive again! Heat 9 - Another fine win for the Hampster Heat 10 - Bomber!!!!! Heat 11 - Close battle but Nicki nicks it Heat 12 - Crumpy all the way. Nicholls 2nd but only coz Lindback's off gate 1 and all over the show Heat 13 - Jonsson swoops round the outside Heat 14 - Hans starts his late surge for a semi Heat 15 - Classic battle with Greg and Jason Heat 16 - Nicki on the inside means carnage, but he wins the re-run Heat 17 - AJ OK Heat 18 - Nicki and Hans do a spot of team riding Heat 19 - Bomber, again Heat 20 - Adams & Hampel. Nicholls last ride of the night So by a rough guess, Hampel, AJ, Bjarne, Nicki, Crumpy, Greg, Bomber & Adams in the semis And I will go for Crumpy, Nicki, AJ and Hampel in the final Well, you did ask me to carry on!!!!! -

Heat 1 - British boys team riding for last Heat 2 - Zagar round the fence Heat 3 - Hampel to get squeezed out by Grumpy and Nicki Heat 4 - Smooth as you like from Bjarne who flies round Cardiff!!!!!! -
Nowt wrong with Joey. Should be in the England team, shows more passion than Fat Lampard Hans & Nicki are brilliant riders, very entertaining to watch and the fact they throw the occasional strop shows how much trying to be world champion means to them Nicholls is a mediocre rider who's had chance after chance and blown it each year. He WILL NOT be given another chance next year, mark my words

Just Who Are The Top 15 In The World?
Saint Rob replied to GSC_1's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Was gonna put Jagus but tbh, I've never actually seen him ride except for a challenge match at Poole in 2001!!!!!!! Holta, Bjerre & Lindback are over rated and all the Brits are rubbish -

1 Hans Andersen 2 Nicki Pedersen 3 Jason Crump 4 Greg Hancock 5 Leigh Adams 6 Bjarne Pedersen 7 Peter Karlsson 8 Tomasz Gollob 9 Jarek Hampel 10 Matej Zagar 11 Niels K Iversen 12 Mark Loram 13 Andreas Jonsson 14 Krzysztof Kasprzak 15 Scott Nicholls -
Thats quite generous for you

Whatever it is your smoking, you need to stop

My thoughts exactly. They have finally done away with Lee Richardson, so Scotty must be looking over his shoulder, where he will find Simon Stead waiting to replace him. Thats providing they stick with 2 Brits
-
Not sure if this has been covered already, but whats everyone's thoughts on this years GP series? As for the crown itself, it will be a 3 horse race between Hans Andersen, Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen. Hans will prove that last year wasn't a fluke and will take the title, with Nicki making it a Denmark 1-2 This year we'll see Hampel and Jonsson have a bit more consistancy, while it could be the beginning of the end for Adams, Hancock & Gollob. Matej Zagar will suffer from 2nd season syndrome. I expect Bjarne Pedersen to be more consistant this year and as usual Nicholls and Lindback will only have 1 or 2 good rounds this year and rely on a nomination for 2008. Can't really see Harris, Holta and Jagus doing much though. So, I think the GP's will finish like this 1 Andersen 2 N Pedersen 3 Crump 4 Hampel 5 Jonsson 6 Hancock 7 Adams 8 B Pedersen 9 Gollob 10 Zagar 11 Nicholls 12 Lindback 13 Holta 14 Harris 15 Jagus
