  1. apparently being inpossesion of any inanimate object with the name of a country on it allows you to assume the nationality of that country . I refer to topsoils comment that tai wears a racejacket with GB on it and that makes him British , I thought it was a little strange my self . but I@m sure if you ask topsoil they will take the time to explain it fully to you ..
  2. Oh right so If i make greg hanock a race jacket with great britiain on it it means he's british . I get it now .Cool . there was us wondering how to get my sons Australian mate a national league team place because he has no patriality ,but it's a piece of piss , just get a race jacket with great britain on it and he's british . Happy days
  3. The publicity Tai could give British speedway if he hadnt turned his back on it !!!. any half decent journalist would tear him to pieces if he tried to big up British speedway , but chooses not to be part of it .
  4. It says japanese on the documents to my motorbike , dont make me japanese
  5. As You say according to those rules ,Tai could not be Australian , so all the debate and cajoling to get Tai to agree to being british a few years back was a complete waste of time since he had no choice . and when his speedway career comes to a close he will have to apply like everybody else ,If he wants to emigrate and live in the house he owns there ,
  6. how has he got an Australian passport then ? biggest surprise here is you, actually fabricating things to weight your argument , I thought you were above that sort of thing but obviously I'm mistaken on that
  7. The whole htread seems to have gone astray a little , last tie I looked we were debating Tai's disrespectful behaviour , now we are onto the nationality question again , I think it's pretty obvious and beyond debate , Tai is British by virtue of a technicality and convenience , but in spirit and in his own mind ,He's Australian , a couple of thing borne out by his behaviour at the Aussie GP
  8. I agree with most of that , except not having a program , even if it's just a printed sheet off the internet. filling it in and looking at the info all adds to the experience , well for me anyway
  9. No thanks . MotoGp and WSBK can be had for free down the local bypass . I prefer my motorcycle sport with specialised equipment that cannot be viewed anywhere other than a racetrack ,
  10. Oh ,so because Im not Spanish Nor have any affinity to Spain , when their anthem is played at an event ,It's ok for me to put my hat back on and start talking and joking with the person next to me ,Who is patently observing common courtesy by standing still and keeping quiet for a couple of minutes while another countries antehm is played , Perhaps you should tell that to the English football supporters and the media , who made such a fuss when the Scottish supporters shouted and jeered through our Anthem ,, Problem is with a sytem such as ours , along with the worthwhile members of the royal family come the hangers on , and you dont get 1 without all the others Sadly Blocking someone on here Is not the same as it is on facebook . otherwise you wouldn't be able to see this !
  11. A lot more than Great Ormond street , it's widely accepted worldwide that after winning an international event you will at the very least stand still while the anthem of your nation is played . Raising money for Great Ormond street does not excuse bad manners , cant imagine for 1 second that any other rider would be so Ignorant and self absorbed that they would replace their hat and start talking and giggling like a complete tosser while their anthem is being played . he made his choice , and now he has to Live with it , I would say graciously but thats not a word I would associaite with plastic brits
  12. Whats great ormond St got to do with Speedway , or being loyal to britain ? Team Place in national league , WTC , and Wildcard as a British rider in to the GP at the time he declared he was British . thats what was in it for Tai if it was possible to undo his declaration as British now he has had all the benefits he needs , I 100% guarantee he would
  13. Seems that all us old hacks ,take speedway for granted tyhese days , This is an Interesting view from someone who had never seen speedway before http://fueltopia.co.uk/profiles/blog/two-wheeled-superstars
  14. Did he ? dont think it's very grown up .to disrespect the country that has given you all the breaks to get wghere you are today , and not very grown up having to be taught respect by Greg Hancock
  15. I knew about Saturdays but didnt add it because , when Robinn Took Coventry over , he tried different nights to leave Saturdays open for dog racing , stock cars and bangers , all the other nights got tried and none were popular friday was kept as the best of the bunch ,because he had no intention of gigving saturdays back to speedway , Someone please post a list of these "top riders" , and dont include .Hancock who clearly made his choice 3 years ago , or Sajfutdinov who has no interest in riding outside his sponsors televised area , I would prefer to see the worlds best occasionally riding in Individuals or pairs events than see them week in week out , that way a visit from the big guns attracts decent crowds and media attention , and doesnt bankrupt any clubs paying them .
  16. Most Elite league tracks that have more then one available race night have already tried different ones , I know coventry have tried mondays wednedays and thurs , but returned to fridays because that was the night the most paying public wanted .. as for attracting more of the top riders back here , who are these top riders ? and it has nothing to with racenights or travelling that has prevented them riding , it's money !! If someone offered Woffinden the same money as he gets in Poland or Sweden he would be riding here ,no doubt about that , and fixed racenights will not generate any more money so whats the point ? what we need to do first of all , is stop training Australians for European leagues , concentrate on Bringing british riders on .
  17. Here is a list of all the sites , that have been identified by Rugby council In the Coventry area in Suitable for speedway The list also contains Information on all the sites Sandhu has personally found and visited
  18. well there you go , thats your view , Mine is Hancock and doyle got to the first turn at the same time , doyle then tried as he has with other riders to lean on Hancock, most other riders would have gone a bit wider , but doyle thought he could bully Hancock and the result was the crash .
  19. Whatever the reason for DH.s offer It will give hope to some of the Bees fans , me personally I dont believe there is any land to be announced at christmas , that is just another delay tactic to hold off protests while the initial planning get eased through , if there is no land with outline permisson @ 1/1/ 2016 that is the end of the Coventry Bees , and I would rather see them go out with a bang next October , than prolong the agony by grounsharing for a couple of seasons and fizzling out like Cradley Heath did , realistically , land for noisy sports like speedway and stock cars doesnt exist , the country is so over laden with new builds that there's nowhere out of earshot of some nimby or other , simple enough then . refuse building permission ansd insist on sticking to the sports use covenant
  20. Well thats one way of looking at it , there is another more accurate and widely held view though
  21. Sadly , what is seen as a great way of encouraging new blood into speedway by many , is treated as a thorn in the side of many promoters and the sports governing body . I'm afraid speedways hierarchy are stuck in the belief , that the public want to see teams of foreigners race 15 heats in the minimum time possible , then having spent a considerable sum for their 1.5 hours entertainment be ushered out of the stadium as quickly as possible . it seems to be beyond their comprehension that some people might actually take an interest in watching the sports future stars taking their fledgling steps , and the long term benefit may just well be ,some riders who dont need airfares paying , and dont have to rush off to europe to race again in their own country the next day , also that in the future some of these riders will be providing local interest to the people whose money is keeping their teams afloat
  22. Well it's not up to you , even as leicesters biggest embarrasment , I very much doubt you will be consulted about anything , so it's you who can jog on
