  1. There was a young aussie who rode for the bees on saturday at leicester . he should have got a place , he's young, australian , looks half right , and has not managed to qualify by other means . I vote we chuck out one of the riders who has actually qualified in the past and proved their worth at that level of competituion , lets chuck Harris out and give Rohan Tungate his place . after all the biggest speedway nation in the world ,deserves to be well represented , rather than one of these countries like England, Sweden, Denmark or Poland that have little or no support for speedway , the stadiums will all be bursting at the seams with travelling Aussie fans if we get enough of them in .
  2. Don't bother with them . Of course they were all for giving ward a place , he's a poole rider. you cant expect him to have to earn it just give it to him now and eventually he will prove worthy , hopefully just like Tai Woffinden did . roll on 2013 series
  3. I would 'nt have given Ward one either , if he's that good let him qualify and prove it.
  4. Will he have to win it ?.or can his adoring fans just keep hyping him up until everyone gets so sick of hearing about Darcy Ward future world champion ,they just give him the title .or his Owner makes a new rule all his points get doubled "In the interests of speedway"
  5. Of course squad system .later start , move the fixtures around . just so long as the GP has unfettered access to the riders that learned their craft and earn the bread and butter in the leagues , why not aske Bsi?Img for a list of when the elite league assets will be avaialble and try to draw up a calender to fit in with it .
  6. you would need quite a lot more than a few . sky sports for public entertainment is £800 per month .
  7. Why did the lads have to go to stoke for the invaders practise ? leicester is their home track so they should have been pratising there

Hemsley claims he can't undrerstand why no one uses leicester for practise .they dont use leicester because despite what he says he won't let them .unless of course you sre one of his mates like chris popple, shortly all the real facts will be comin...

  8. Charlie Ochiltree has been dead for ten years .and sandhu has owned the place for the last 7 years
  9. Long Eaton running at leicester .I wouls say are a more than hopeful but not a certainty
  10. David has signed for glasgow and makes his debut at home this sunday
  11. So he's good enough to compete at this level but cannot qualify to do so ? Good Idea about Bsi becoming autonomous ,and selecting the riders they want based on what ever criteria they choose ,lets just do away with qualification altogehter. Hancock ,Crump.,Pedersen ,Jonsson and Gollob are well past their sell by date .and if the series is to flourish riders who actually qualified should be dumped on the scrapheap in favour of the current flavour of the month . The best way forward without a doubt ,2012 world champion by selection top idea
  12. 3 seasons back you could have said that about Greg Hancock but look who's winning now . the fresh blood can wait and qualify on merit like everyone else has had to . If that means Ward never makes it through the minefield of qualification so much the better .
  13. I wish we could have seen some of Tomasz Gollob 1997 in one particular race .
  14. No He's not . I had it translated by a Swede who speaks perfect English . It says I am a man who loves other men and you are welcome to contact me !!
  15. Sheffield would not be able to track a guest for a rider ,on u21 duty riding for Aus , but the rulebook does'nt mean anything to the BSPA unless your face does'nt fit. Kings Lynn have had their "favour" returned ,and Plymouth probably feellike they are owed
  16. since Backless is the only person who feels he's been robbed by substandard fare , why dont you put him out of his misery and offer him a refund of the extra admission , I'll give you half of it , after all it's not much considering how much the riders and neccesary entourage are making during the tour , I know we did well out of the newcastle meeting ,we only made a loss of around £100 so your boys might not have done so well when you consider their airfares , vehicle hire, accomodation , upgraded license fees etc . Send him a cheque and i'll give you my half when you return to Brandon after the tour
  17. I would say offering to buy a property from someone ,who had not taken the time to check on their surroundings before making what is considered the biggest and most important purchase most people will ever make , was a charitable act rather than an admission of guilt, and assuming the fair market value was offered was a solution that would have been agreeable to both parties. but then again I would say that because I'm not trying to justify my pitiful and petty complaints against something that brings many people enjoyment.
  18. Does not matter how unstable Steve Ribbons may have appeared , the way both him and Kevin Jolly were treated is nothing short of Discusting, If the Bspa were so Concerned about the stability of their Promotional aspirations they should have asked for a very Large Bond , Instead of trying to fleece Steve Ribbons Of £5,000 for joining the league and another £5,000 for Promoting rights to line their pockets with , they could have asked for a £13,500 bond. and then if the club folded no-one would be left out of pocket ,
  19. play by the rules , let them kick you in the teeth , and then go quietly away and not question why you have been kicked in the teeth, keep the secrets of an organisation that does not want you to be a part of it.
  20. Would the £5000 league membership and £5000 promoting rights still apply if another promoter were to apply? have stoke paid £5000 league membership?
  21. the Potters (as one assumes they'll remain...) in the NL though.. as long as Stoke remains open thats all that really matters, while it's still there they can always step back up , potters or spitfires that is!
  22. you don't need a personailty to be voted the sports personality , otherwise Zara Phillips would not have won the BBC sports personality
  23. How many southern ones are left still running ? most of the vikings meetings have been run at PL tracks as an added attraction , just because they are riding at national league level does not exclude them from riding at premier league or elite league tracks , the only thing that excludes them from riding at other tracks is the short sightedness of some promoters ,any way if the riders who have expressed an interest do come on the april tour they would give most prem league teams a run for their money , 3 of last years Vikings are riding in prem league next year and there are plenty more of that standard waiting to come and show their wares ,
