There's also an increasing number of riders who are happy to top up their earnings by riding in both NL and PL and have no ambition to ride in the elite league where they should be looking to earn the money , IMHO doubling up between NL and PL is bad for several reasons and should not be allowed

I stood on my own a few times to watch them , Cov folks want Elite league and nothing else , On a happier note , a work colleague of my son a total speedway virgin came to watch him last night and brought his son along as well , I was quite surprised when i spoke to him afterwards and he thought speedway was great , so did the lad , he had no idea of the level of racing he was watching so had no preconceptions , I understand it was a great meeting but I didn't see a lot of it being busy most of the time , maybe an initiative to get newbies in for national league would benefit the higher leagues eventually , because the chances of a first timer being entertained are better at this level than the other 2

The bspa gave up the rights to any input or courtesy ,when they agreed to the sale of the GP series for a bag full of magic beans ,which the ginger joker has now eaten , I agree the GP would be short of riders without the British leagues but it's too late to lock that particular door , maybe they should learn a lesson and stop riders using British speedway as a training scheme by making them sign contracts that proritise british speedway

Exactly , It had nothing to do with them and neither should it . The GP series is run by BSI and they get to choose who they want as a wildcard . God help the GP series if the BSPA are to be involved in any decisions made pertaining to it , lees than 12 months and the british GP would be back at Brandon playing to a 6,000 audience

The SCB did not make the rules you did !! lets not start trying to deflect attention from yourself on something else . and Nick Mallett allowed to ride in a competition for second strings courtesy of mssrs, Rogers and Lapworth that has nothing to do with the SCB . although your spelling mssrs is more apt . no one expects you to please everyone just carry on pleasing yourself , but dont think for one minute that no-one can see through you !

I don't usually bother with the MDL threads any more Kelvin , as you seem to simply be making up the rules of MDL competitions to suit your own purposes as in the case of Nick Mallett being a second string well actually even being eligible for MDL , although in this instance you can hardly be blamed for making up the rules as you go along since there are none , the very premise of this competition right from the start was that the "CO-Ordinators" would choose who "they" deemed was suitable for this competition . hardly a professional way to decide who is eligible in the first place , and since both of you are connected with Cov -Mercia would only lead to you favouring your own riders , thats fair enough for me , but you cannot expect to do these things with Impunity and there will always be someone who will challenge your unfair practises .

Make your mind up , first he is experienced then he is a second string !!! you know as well as everyone else this competition was for second strings and the only reason he is in it is because of who his friends are , I suppose you wonder why Scunthorpe and Sheffield don't want to take part in the MDL any more !!

I've had virgin for years and it's a nice bonus to have the speedway on MY Tv instead of having to go to a sky subscribers house or a speedway friendly pub , I think Sky might Just regret letting this go when they see the viewer figures , and the amount of people who have ditched sky sports

Well said Ford ..no reason he cant get his visa and continue to ride . he obviously realises that he should not keep breaking the law and will take steps through professional help to make sure it appears he is doing all he can to become a model citizen . no need to ban the lad for 12 months or take any other action Darcy and his psychiatrist are working hard to create the illusion that he really is sorry for his constant misbehaviour
