Except, of course, the times when the Brummies were profitable was when the team was being run by Tony Mole. The young promoter could be Phil Morris (I hope).

That's the old one. Try: www.brummiespeedway.net

Stoke on Monday afternoons, otherwise Scunthorpe! You'll have to move ... Coventry and Leicester hold training sessions during the winter (see picture left).

How Can Sweden Afford To Pay The Top Riders
*JJ replied to cityrebel's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Only the top league is well supported. Look at the attendances quoted for the lower leagues - double figures! -
So come and stand near me, directly opposite some speakers!

When the Sweaties are independent, we will rebuild Hadrian's Wall, put the guns back in Berwick fortress, and revive the law that said that Scots could be shot on sight -
He is - you should have seen him wiping the floor with Tai Woffinden last Wednesday! However, prior to that, he had only done about four meetings in six weeks - he needs to earn same as everyone else.

Probably Castleford?

I've signed - well over six thousand now! -
Only if you live in east Kent. Otherwise, it is right in the far corner of the country, that corner blocked off by London. It is much easier to get to Land's End from here than Iwade ... what is needed is a similar set-up in the Midlands, for example someone should put some money into relaying the Burton track.

Panzer actually means 'armour'. Armoured threads?

About 2.2 pounds, I believe. So a bike should weigh about one and a half hundredweight.

Which Rider Have You Never Taken To?
*JJ replied to phillipsr's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Well, it must be annoying to know that you are named after a mad ear-biting rapist! -
Yes they are actually TRAINING them. I am trying to help a young man who wants to be a speedway rider - mostly by providing transport - who has just had his third practice session riding a 500cc bike. He has now succeeded in sliding the bike right round the corners, but he has had to more or less teach himself how to ride; he has only had a few words of advice from anyone. The trouble is, that even practice sessions are available at only a few tracks. Next Sunday we are going to drive 100 miles to Scunthorpe, while there is a track only two miles down the road which cannot be used!

Thanks; the mechanic can have a go at this when he comes out of hospital ...

One of my friends has bought a bike with a GM engine, with a Blixt carburettor. He is puzzled why, when the engine has been running, the oil separator bottle fills up with methanol fuel. Has anyone any idea of what could be causing this?

Just input 'Speedway bikes' in ebay. Plenty of them! Track shops also sell them.
