Quite right: Laurence Rogers has done more for British speedway than just about anyone. I spent five years trying to help a rider make his way in speedway, in the face of massive indifference from the promoters and the BSPL in general. But everyone knows that speedway riders come from Denmark, Poland and Australia, don't they?
