  1. The swede that rode at the world team cup final was lars ake Andersson. I would put jack white who rode against English test teams in Australia in the late 60s, far as I remember never rode over here and Laurie hodgson who was coming over here but had a bad crash and was wheelchair bound
  2. Remembering Vic Harding today taken from us 38 years ago today
  3. Hard to believe it is 40 years ago today that Kevin Holden was taken from us,a night we will never forget. RIP kevin
  4. Poole v Coatbridge April 1968, odd fossengens debut for Poole, I prefer Somerset now , elite league does nothing for me now
  5. I'm in Manchester staying opposite the track and it's been raining non stop until a hour ago no English track could withstand that much rain
  6. dudek and janowski riding for their Swedish teams tonight in a dead rubber so it can,t be that important
  7. Wednesday 24 th April 1968 Poole v Coatbridge odd fossengens debut for Poole
  8. Boxalls no Brady Kurtz but he's come in three quarters into the season on sub standard equipment and had a nasty fall Friday might at the ota and another last night so he not going to be a high scorer ,Todd Kurtz is seeing the end of his season nearing and probably not going to shell out money now, I saw both meetings and even though Friday was a cakewalk last night was a lot closer than I thought it would be.plymouth are lacking a number 1,hope boxall and Luke priest are ok
  9. Colin goodey rode for Poole and crayford in 1977,must of appeared at atleast 30 tracks that season
  10. Was quite impressed with dimitri berge last night ,could turn out to be France's best yet
  11. Simmo was good round Exeter when I saw him even beating mauger, but I'm sure it was Bristol and possibly Newport he hated but I think he got a maximum at eastville one night for poole
  12. and barrow(park road) for Wimbledon against Berwick 1981 inter league cup and Weymouth for Poole inter league challenge.
  13. Thinking of Kevin Holden and his family 39 years ago today rip kevin

  17. Remembering vic harding wh0 left us 34 years today
  18. we had a group of poles behind us,they were a pain ,running up and down the aisle behind us after gollobs win and then grabbed the chap next to me on the shoulders, who was in his late seventies and shook him.i told the pole to go forth and i was told the stewards warned them and as the night went on they got quieter, wonder why that was?
  19. only want one ticket, can you turn up on the day and buy a ticket?
  20. remembering vic today 32 years since he left us
  21. denny morter came from the ipswich area, buttigieg, foot and chaldicot started at the matchems training school in the early seventies, buttigieg i believe was born in malta and was a regular in the poole team in 1973 for a while then he packed in to concentrate on karting.he would of been a very good rider, other trainees at matchems were the better known martin yeates, steve lomas and geoff swindells who with russel foot can be seen at poole on racenights.
  22. why have hart back? were training him up for lakeside, got rid of two out of three riders who are going to improve halsey and resch.i would have got rid of the basebys, their treading water and are never going to get better, also why sign a rider who cant get in plymouths or weymouths side leaving the buccs woefully weak at reserve
  23. dick partridge rode a couple of matches for scunthorpe in 1976 and started 1977 at weymouth but was replaced after a couple of matches by malcolm corradine.
  24. try http;//speedwayresearcher.org.uk/1969.html
