  2. Unlike last time, this year there's gonna be an amazing crowd and I'm wondering how we all can fit in the bar area of Brda hotel

  4. ...life is short indeed but Gollob's gone and life must goes on. Hardly anyone knows why he's not riding in A.C. actually but most people respect his decision.
  5. Long story... He has his own reasons. He's always been invited to take part in Aces Criterion but never ridden in it since he left to Tarnow.
  6. Yeah, thanks to Rico's great hospitality me and Tommy are going to Cardiff
  7. Maybe as I'll be staying in England from 1st June to the end of August. So far I've got Reading v Ipswich (5th June) in my schedule
  8. Yeah, I've been following British league this year and I'm nicely surprised with PePe The matter is now if he can keep on flying so high throughout the whole season. Honestly I doubt but time will tell.. Maybe it's gonna be PePe's breakthrough year? As every year there are gonna be lots of interesting meetings. The earliest hits are Bydgoszcz v Tarnow (23th April) and Bydgoszcz v Torun (3rd May) Now with RyanAir air connections it's not that hard to watch some Polish league speedway.
  9. In Bydgoszcz the track's done Hopefully it won't snow till the next winter A few pics taken by Lawrence yesterday at Polonia.
  10. In the daytime it's about 5-7 degrees but still subzero at nights in Bydgoszcz However, the track's good enough to ride and since today riders have been doing some laps at Polonia
  11. Ewa, in your case I think that a nice smile and a proper top should be enough to get it
  12. From my experice they may even not check your ticket Anyway, I think that guys in the gates will not have so much time to check out every ID card and you should get in showing anything looking as ID card which is in a foreign language
  13. "REDUCED - Students U-24 (University ID must be presented) and seniors from 60 years of age are entitled to reduced tickets" ..so DISCOUNT (prices in red colour) must be the -10% which is when booking online
  14. Hotel Trio - when you gather 5 people for a double bed room it's only 10 zl per night Joking of course - it's only a variant for some desperate ones I think that Rico and others who have been in Wroclaw can recommend a wide range of good hotels. And yes - generally the prices are quite reasonable.
  15. Check out this topic -> Wroclaw tickets. Or just listen to Pugwash' advice and wait for the crowd smashing the gate
  16. Sorry Rico I thought that Robolots wanted info about Wroclaw airport. Anyway, nice to hear it's only 10 mins by a cab as I'm flying from Poznan to Stansed in June
  17. Polish trains are ok - cheap and quite reliable. Travelling may be tiring on long distances but from Poznan to Wroclaw it's around 2.5 hours so don't worry. Hopefully Rico will answer to this question.. It's all a matter of choosing a proper tram. As I remember (not always been drunken in Wroclaw ) you can get from the railway station to the stadium in one tram. Some maps I found typing "mapa Wroclawia" in google: http://plan.naszemiasto.pl/plan_wroclaw.html http://www.nashedo.terramail.pl/mapa.html
  18. As I remember Bydgoszcz ticket were usually available around July, not earlier.
  19. Winter's very long this year indeed. There's still lots of snow in Bydgoszcz and today morning it was -12 here. Riders may have very little time for training on a track this year I'm afraid..
  20. Yes, this is how this farce will probably finish.
  21. To make things clear which event we're talkin about: 17th Sep - World U21 team Champ final @ Rybnik 21th Sep - Polish U21 team Champ final @ somewhere - the place of this event is always chosen later from cities of teams which have qualified into the final
  22. To be honest, hardly anyone here understands what's going on over there in Gdansk.. I tried to follow the case but after some time I lost the point. It's a total mess. Saying very shortly - throughout recent years the club was managed by some assholes, debts were growing. Some new guys tried to sort things out but finally the main sponsor (Lotos - oil company) resigned from sponsoring as they didn't want to put their money into a sh!t. It complicated the situation very much. Gdansk didn't get the licence for riding in Ekstraliga due to their debts. Then the matter was if there were to ride in Division 1 as a club transformated in some legislative ways (hard to explain as even in Polish I rather don't get it.. ) or as a brand new club which according to the regulations has to begin in Division 2. As far as I know they will be running in Division 2 but I'm not sure as quite a long time ago I lost the point of this affair. Anyway, I would not like to be a Gdansk fan at this time. Guys in Gdansk must be totally p!ssed off now.
  23. In 2004 we did Wroclaw-Bydgoszcz in 2h 43mins (at night; honda crv; 1 piss-stop)
  24. Pod Orlem, City, Brda. Just - type "Bydgoszcz" in Search engine for this part of forum. It's been talked about Bydgoszcz hotels etc. hundred times..
