  1. Ye, on the track.. But Henka with his fellow Jacek Gollob were kings of Bydgoszcz night life some time ago. Lots of stories about their adventures here and there around the city
  2. Henka Gustafsson - the legend of Bydgoszcz speedway track and night life in 90s
  3. It's gonna be a very intensive night But there's a train to Bydgoszcz at 6:40 a.m. which should suit me Yeah, maybe not directly at the old square (like Spiz with my beloved beer and Highlander) but a few steps from it only.
  4. Yeah but I guess that some parts of it are rubbish. One of big stadiums built under communist regime for borrowed money and then neglected throughout years...
  5. http://www.pszpoznan.pl/podstrony.php?id_strony=7 ..in Polish only but yes - pics show that it is this stadium. They are new to Division 2.
  6. Rzeszow have taken Chrzanowski from the ruins of Gdansk team.
  7. During New Year's Eve party I sent a txt message to someone from ZG saying that I was gonna drink for Falubaz to come back to Ekstraliga. Looks like my drinking feats may succeed much sooner than I expected
  8. Well, if I was a boss of ZG, Rybnik, Ostrow or Gorzow I would refuse to join Ekstraliga for obvious reasons. It would be showing F U to those fools who govern Polish speedway. And if the mentioned teams make such decision I will fully understand it. But personally as a fan of one of Ekstraliga teams I hope that ZG will decide to start in Ekstraliga this year. 7-team Ekstraliga with one team having break every round would be a farce... If GKSZ wanna have a normal 8-team Ekstraliga I think that they should give the coming in team the licence without any normally required things like air fances and stadium lights.
  9. It's where even Google Earth doesn't fly over But despite that it's still tempting I hope
  10. Thx for the advert Subedei but I don't wanna compete with this forum at all. The English section on the Polonia Bydgoszcz forum was opened only to be something like a bridge between my Polish mates who are not registered here and our British friends who honour us at their presence at GPs in Wroclaw, Bydgoszcz every year But of course you are all invited
  11. Yeah, well... British prices of alcohol should effectively help me to survive
  12. As usual Rico's right. Polish roads are rubbish and going by taxi doesn't have to be shorter than by a train. However, taxi drivers are the worst drivers so if you look for some boost of adrenalin it may not be a bad choice Polish trains are usually quite reliable and relatively cheap. If you don't have any school trips, wild guys who have just finished their compulsory military service or football hools on board, the journey should be tolerable.
  13. Not soon. Last year tickets were sold out at 4 pm on the event's day so don't worry.
  14. 30p (about 2 zl) is a price of cheap beers in supermarkets.
  15. Rather to find someone under 23. But despite having only Poles and one AJ, I think we still got one of the strongest line-up. It's not the name that rides but the rider. These riders are great men, the atmosphere in the team is superb. One of the reasons Kosciecha came here is a fact that he's got very good relations with Andreas and our Swede suggested signing with him. In my opinion such team based on good riders who are real team mates is often better than a conglomeration of international stars (or "stars") that come to Poland only to do their job (without much effort). Jonsson is the only foreigner tho' for all Bydgoszcz fans he's just like one of us. After his fantastic 2004 season he's gained a god status here, he has settled his equipment HQ at Polonia and finally moved to Bydgoszcz buying a house near the city. And by the way - Polonia means Poland
  16. Gdansk's chances to ride in Ekstraliga are close to zero - say Polish newspapers. On 9th January GKSZ are to make decision what to do with Gdansk. As Tommy wrote - it's all a big mess ruled by assholes
