  1. That's what local newspapers in Bydgoszcz say.
  2. Bydgoszcz GP is to be the final one in the 2006 cycle On 9th or 23rd September - it depends if they manage to make GP in Daugavpils on 9th.
  3. That's good news as this time I'm gonna be somewhere in the southern England I hope the final will be in Poole.
  4. Many various rumours in this case - seems we have to wait... Very likely.
  5. There've not been any transfers made yet. I'll try to keep this topic up-to-date but if SportoweFakty.pl or other website makes a special page with transfer lists I'll put a link here as well.
  6. And the attendance was not higher than about 2500... 44:46
  7. Krystian Klecha has signed with Bydgoszcz for next 2 years in advance
  8. I've just come back from Torun. The meeting was rather nothing special, a bit of fight in last heats only. A hole or a rut on one of bends caused lots of falls and the whole tournament was tiresome long. The fence in that place had to be repaired 3 or 4 times. Miedzinski was very fast = unbeaten. Zabik luckily 3rd as in the last heat Klecha's clutch failed at the start gate... The biggest surprise was in opinion Jedrzejewski who started as a reserve rider but finished 4th after loosing a bonus heat against Zabik. It was my last speedway meeting of this memorable 2005 season...
  9. If Zielona Gora would have saved themselves in Ekstraliga for 2006 there would be no doubts now - Walasek would have already gone to Zielona Gora. He's from there and he lives there. He was to sign with Zielona as his current relations with the management of Czestochowa are, let's say, not good... Poole's case was only a proof of it. But Zielona have been relegated and I don't know if Greg would like to ride in Division 1.
  10. Yes. AJ signed one week ago. PePe, Buczkowski and Jedrzejewski signed last year for 2 years so their contracts are of course still valid. Young Lopaczewski was "bought" for at least 3 seasons (06,07,08) from a famous speedway school in Pawlowice where in past Hampel and Miskowiak started with speedway... His trainer from this school says that he's even better than Hampel when he was at his age. I hope his career will be led well and soon we may have a really good rider.
  11. On 5th October he resigns from being the chairman of Apator Torun. Who has told you that??? I have some good informers stricktly connected with the Polonia management and among names of many riders there was no mention about Pecyna...
  12. The 2005 league season in Poland is almost over. The final results of this year's Ekstraliga after play-off are as follows: 1. Tarnow 2. Bydgoszcz 3. Czestochowa 4. Torun 5. Leszno 6. Wrocław 7. Gdansk 8. Zielona Gora - relegated to Division 1 promoted to 2006 Ekstraliga: Rzeszow The only uncertainty is if Gdansk stays in Ekstraliga for next year as the 7th-placed team has to ride home & away matches against the 2nd-placed team of Division 1 that are Ostrow. Everything's possible of course, but in opinion Gdansk should save Ekstraliga. Anyway, for the rest of teams it's all over and autumn/winter transfer season is coming. In this thread I'll be making some updates about transfers, line-up changes, new sponsors etc... I hope Subedei and others who are interested in Polish speedway will join me in this discussion. So, at first some confirmed information: 1) Foreigners that have already signed: Jonsson (Bydgoszcz), Adams (Leszno), B.Pedersen (Gdansk). There are not many class riders that guarantee a good score in every meeting so after some nice performances in Tarnow Scott Nicholls may be a hot target... 2) Rzeszow are about to sign with Max, Rickardsson should finish his career in Tarnow. 3) Wroclaw are not gonna sign Andersen and Lindback who did not do well this year. They are interested in getting Crump from Torun or N.Pedersen from Zielona Gora. 4) Bydgoszcz have already 5 riders for 2006: Jonsson, PePe, Buczkowski (19), Jedrzejewski (18), Lopaczewski (16 but very gifted; passed his speedway licence exam five weeks ago). Sawina and Klecha are to stay as well but Krzyzaniak's and Robacki's situation is very uncertain after a poor season of them. Polonia's eye is kept on Miskowiak, Chrzanowski, Kosciecha and at least one of them should be signed... There's also a rumour about Hampel (!) but honestly I don't believe it much. And some less official news: 5) A future of champion Tarnow is very uncertain... There are gonna be some changes soon in Polish oil trade and it's not known if Rafineria Trzebina sponsor Unia next year. It's all about money so there have already appeared some rumours about possible Gollobs' leaving. Rzeszow that got promoted to Ekstraliga may get a new great sponsor (yes - an oil company!) and maybe become something like Unia Tarnow was in 2004 and 2005... We'll see. I think that Leliwa from Tarnow could have some more information in this case.
  13. Learning some boring things to school I played today a video of this match and the best part of it is when Tony Rickardsson sings in Polish a "sto lat" song for Tarnow fans Not only his team mates had a laugh of it
  14. So Tomek Gollob and his brother Jacek are team champions in Poland (Tarnow) and Sweden (Vastervik)
  15. Some pics from Polonia's backstraight war zone at the final match -> HERE
  16. Today I read an interesting article in a local newspaper which describes how Tarnow riders, team members, the management etc. celebrated the Championship title... They chose an inn called "Rome" in a village of Pawlowek (near Bydgoszcz outskirst). It was a closed, booked party - only for Unia Tarnow. The newspaper says there's a conflict between two factions in the Tarnow team. The one is Marian Wardzala's family and friend. He's a coach of Unia and a father of Robert - Unia's rider. However, as it's said, he doesn't have much influence on Unia's line-up etc. The second faction is led by Robert Kuzdzal - Unia's manager supported by Szczepan Bukowski who is the chairman. So, guys were after a few or more drinks and long men's conversations started changing into quarrels. Tomek Gollob who doesn't drink alcohol tried to calm down everyone but after he had left the inn, a brawl started... In this fight Wardzala, Kuzdzal and Marcin Rempala became hurt. Information about hurt women are unclear... Finally the police had to arrive and calm down the wildest celebrators. No participants of this "party" want to comment on it now. All that glitters is not gold, I'd say
  17. OK, but so far I haven't had any reasons not to believe him. Since he came here he has always seemed to be a nice, sincere and a direct dude. Hope it won't change.
  18. That's what AJ said: Bydgoszcz is a place where I feel fantastic, it couldn't be different (about signing). I have even never thought that I could leave this team which means so much for me. There are really no fans like these ones in Bydgoszcz anywhere else. This what I feel when I ride for Bydgoszcz is just wonderful. Look... how couldn't I love this city and these people... I couldn't make a different decision than signing with Polonia. - said AJ just after a little boy tried to say in English how much he liked Andreas Moving
  19. I have all matches of Polonia Bydgoszcz in play-off (Czestochowa-Bydgoszcz, Bydgoszcz-Czestochowa, Tarnow-Bydgoszcz, Bydgoszcz-Tarnow) recorded into MPEG files. It's about 6 GB. I'm open to any offers of exchange.
  20. OK, a few words about the match. Heat 1 - confusion Heat 2 - the 1st great euphory of this day Heat 3 - big confusion... Heat 4 - the 2nd great euphory of this day, but as it turned out later - the last one... Then we had some 3:3s and it was already certain, that Unia are to take the Champ title. For Bydgoszcz the match ended around the heat 6 when Klecha was excluded. But no one did stop supporting the team to at least win this match and save a status of an unbeaten home track team... But Bydgoszcz riders seemed to be a bit down and burnt out after "failing" the first part of the meeting. And such damn good Tarnow used it winning 5:1 over AJ and PePe in the heat 15 that gave them a victory 46:44 overall. Anyway, after that there was a very nice celebration and all fans thanked Polonia for this great success which second place is. Before the match we hung a special banner for this occasion: Polonia, for us you are already the Champions!. That's how it looked from my point of view. On Polish speedway tv - I guess so... Daria's rather not that kind of woman which Sophie is. She's not a former topless model but just a cute Polish girl with nice curves and and even nicer dark hair Indeed The first lady of our fan club.
  21. Couldn't agree more No But we got a nice girl named Daria Kabala who makes interviews in pits during GPs. The best in her is that she's from Bydgoszcz There were some very exciting heats, mainly these ones with TG and AJ Sorry but I'm too tired to write more tonight... I will make a short report from the final tomorrow. Goodnight and GLORIA VICTIS!
  22. Nope, the final negotiations ended on Friday during a practice run at Polonia and they decided to sign the contract tonight in front of the full stadium
