  1. In an interview at the start Richardson said he hoped Woffinden would support him as one of the top riders. Oh Lee get real.
  2. We werent good enough on monday and we arent good enough tonight. We are at the level we deserve, our riders arent good enough and no amount of excuses will make it any better.
  3. Got to agree, why put our rider on a tactical when he is off the worst gate.Even if we dropped further behind it should have made sense to wait till we have the best gate. Lee Richardsons internatiomal career is over.
  4. Dont give a monkeys anymore. We`ve got Georgie Thompson.
  5. You must have been on here monday night then. Hopefully it will be a lot more positive and we qualify for saturday as right now I think thats the best we can hope for.
  6. Maybe we should be realistic in our chances for thursday. As I see it we go into the meeting as 3rd favourites at best and that could be the best we can expect. On mondays evidence we are miles behind Sweden who I think will qualify no problem so its the Poles we must see as our main threat and man for man they look a better team.Failure to get to saturday would be a disapointment but not a shock. Im sure excuses will be thick on the ground but there must be a practise session before the meeting so set ups should be done then not after your 1st or 2nd ride.
  7. Dont buy this slick track excuse that our riders seem to hide behind all the time. They have all raced at a level that a slick track should be easily overcome, please dont tell me that Coventry is grippy every week. Chances are we will have to race on a slick track thursday and maybe saturday so monday will have been useful practise but you can bet we will have another round of excuses from riders/management.
  8. Was thinking the same last night, surely Jim Lynch talked to his riders before hand to see how they wanted the track then passed that onto whoever does the track at Coventry. You can bet that the track at Vojen on saturday will be suited towards the Danes. There may have been a stockcar meeting over the weekend at Brandon but even so I dont think its rocket science to get the track how our riders wanted it.Didnt Ermolenko say something about practise affecting track conditions. Think maybe we are giving our riders an easy excuse, the track was the same for everybody and with all our current or ex- Coventry riders they must have ridden Coventry when it was slick in the passed. No I think we just werent or arent good enough.
  9. Theres a number of threads opened since last night and if there was as much feeling from the riders as there has been on here then we wouldnt be far wromg.Surely the riders know they have screewed up,the good thing is they can put it right on thursday by at least getting through to saturday.
  10. Agree, think it shows what a mess we are in when we are relying on a 17yr old to pull us out of the hole we find ourselves in after last night.Woffinden is a huge talent but its up to our experienced internatiomal riders to pull their fingers out.Nicholls,Harris and Richardson. Also I dont think Olly Allen did anything wrong last night but wheres the incentive when you know youre out next meeting.
  11. Sweden will start as favourites on thursday so giving them 1 of the top 2 positionsthat leaves GB or Poland for 2nd spot.Dont see Russia getting through but could be spoilers, who ever gets least last places between GB and Poland will go through with Sweden. GB cant be that bad again can they ?.
  12. Woffinden did well in the GB Final at Swindon but when you see the performance of the GB team last night you wonder just how good you had to be.The lad does have huge talent but lets not put this much pressure on young shoulders. Its up to Nicholls and Harris to stand up on thursday and be counted, they are ment to be our top two and in the GPs.Also Richardson who seems to talk a good race and can tell us why we arent doing very well.
  13. Dont think it matters whos in charge,we dont have good enough riders end of story. It goes to show that Middleditch didnt do that bad a job after all. Dont know why it takes a performance like last night to make everyone realise how crap British speedway is.We have been overtaken by Denmark,Sweden and Poland with Russia and Czech not far behind. If anyone thinks that Tai Woffinden can come in on Thursday and make everything alright then it goes to show how desperate GB speedway is getting. No dig at Woffinden,he is a fantastic rider and will get to the very top one day.
  14. Ok so you sack Lynch, who is there to bring in.Rossiter,Pratt,Havelock or Middleditch, are they going to make the riders go any better. Face it,we dont have the riders,it doesnt make any difference who the manager is.
  15. That he is,goes to show there is talent outside the EL.Love to have seen Woffinden in tonight after watching him on saturday.
  16. Think its time for us all to take a reality check. WE ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH. If you fill our league full of foreign riders then what do you expect. By the way Come on Adrian Rymel.
  17. Me to maybe not in danger of winning the meeting but could be real spoilers. Best of luck to Adrian Rymel a Bandit of today and Matej Kus a Bandit next season.
  18. That ref is an idiot and shouldnt be let any where near a speedway track again. The FIM,Ole Olsen or who ever appointed him need to take a long look at themselves especially as he is down to do the next two GPs.It makes the sport a laughing stock. He must have been the only one in the stadium who thought to exclude Adams + Pederson was the right decision.
  19. Couldnt agree more,we have to face the fact that the Elite League is anything but elite and the gap between GP,Poland,Sweden compared to British speedway is massive.Yes Harris & Nicholls do well in our league when it comes to the big meetings whether it be GP or SWC they just arent up to it and anyone who thinks they are are kidding themselves.
  20. Agree that both the brits look out of their depth at GP level.Harris doesnt look quick enough either out of the gates or during the race,Chris Louis mentioned on tv last night that he has been having long term bike problems with a misfire and if thats the case then that needs looking at but in truth that could be clutching at straws.Nicholls is the best we have but can he rely on a wild card pick for 09,a number of non-british rides look to have a better claim to a pick.
  21. Got to agree, after watching that meeting it makes you wonder just where our EL is going. No wonder so many riders dont want to race over here.
  22. Wouldnt disagree with any of the comments about Gollob, what was even more dis-tasteful was when Dryml and Tomicek crashed Gollob parked the bike in middle of the track waving at the referee when anyone could see that the crash wasnt the fault of the rides.
  23. Having just watched last nights GP,who ever was respnsible for that track whether it be Olsen or A N Other something needs to be done. How many times do we hear riders saying that the track is nothing like what it was like in practise which surely is the point of having a practise session.Seems like its grippy on a friday and slick on a saturday.Hopefully all of the hurt riders from last night wont be out for long but last night was shocking to watch.
  24. The way both Harris and Nicholls have started the GP series we are in danger of having no Brits in next year.Nicholls got in by right this year but Harris had to rely on a GP pick.Dont see both being that lucky if there is not a big improvement.
