Should be still strong enough to beat Plymouth though, who, Klindt and Nicholls apart are a very poor side. -

There`s a joke in there somewhere about Barrie being a great tosser, but I will leave that to others. -

With the meeting a couple of weeks away there`s a decent chance of another guest for the injured Danyon Hume, assuming Berwick haven't made a team change by then. You can then add in the now you see him now you don`t with Craig Cook. -

Final is scheduled for Macon France on Saturday July 26th meaning unless there`s a re-arrangement it will be a guest fest at Berwick that night. -

Drew Kemp has been in action today in Germany as part of the Under-24 Team GB. He top scored with 9pts, Team GB finished in second place which is good enough to get them to the final which is to be held later this month. -

Update on Danyon Hume taken from the Danyon Hume Racing page. Hey guys, Just another update on Danyon, he underwent 5 hours of surgery on Monday which was successful and is now managing to take a few steps. The physios and doctors are happy with the progress he is making and in their words “Danyon is a warrior”. We both really appreciate all the messages/calls, we have received so much love and support it hasn’t gone unnoticed and I have read everyone’s messages to Danyon. Danyon will get round to responding to everyone at some point however he is concentrating on his road to recovery at the moment. Thank you so much for all the love. Jade x -

Incredible news coming in from Oxford. Cook rides. -
Obviously I welcome the statement and I`m delighted that Workington Speedway continues, but now the dust has settled. Exactly what was the issue. Start time, money, visa`s, what ?.

Its a miracle and went something like this. As Jesus came down the mountain, he was followed by large crowds. 2 Suddenly a man named Craig with Covid[a] came and knelt in front of Jesus. He said, “Lord, you have the power to make me well, if only you wanted to.” 3 Jesus put his hand on the man and said, “I want to! Now you are well.” At once the man's Covid disappeared and the van was loaded and begat his journey to Oxford. 4 Jesus told him, “Don't tell anyone about this, especially the BSPL but go and show the priest that you are well. Then take a gift to the temple just as Moses commanded, and everyone will know that you have been healed.”[b] -
And here you are in all your glory, apologies for going slightly off thread.

More to this than meets the eye. -
But in reality their catchment area where Berwick Speedway draws their customers from is alot wider than just Berwick Upon Tweed, not so many in number as there previously was but people still travel from Dunbar, North Berwick, Milfield and the like. I would argue with your population figure of Berwick as I would put it slightly higher than 12000. Where I do agree with you is its a minor miracle that Berwick Speedway continues to this day, fair to say its been a rocky road at times but we still have speedway.

Update via Danyon Hume Racing. Hey guys, Just wanted to update everyone on how Danyon is doing, unfortunately Danyon has fractured his back in two places and we are now awaiting further updates from the doctor as to whether or not Danyon needs surgery. We would both like to thank everyone, all Berwick management, the track staff, ambulance crew, our friends, family and all the fans at Berwick speedway, everyone rallied around and helped with everything. Obviously the news isn’t what we want but we are thinkings positive at the moment. Thanks again everyone. Jade x -

Meeting over after Ht12 with a Berwick win. Best wishes to Danyon Hume. -
Bears star Erik Riss has been forced to take a break from racing due to a reoccurrence of the health issues that blighted him in 2023. We wish Erik all the best and look forward to having him back when he can overcome the issues. Erik made the following statement on his social media It is with deep regret that I have to announce that I am withdrawing from the Long Track GP in Mühldorf this weekend, and also having to take a break from racing for now. Unfortunately, since last Sunday, I’m experiencing a recurrence of previous health issues which are causing severe discomfort and are impeding my vision. I am currently in the process of seeing various medical professionals, with the hope of finding answers so that I can receive the appropriate treatments and return to racing soon.

If this is a visa issue then a seven day suspension was never going to be enough, I would think another seven day suspension could be equally problematic .

In their Berrington Lough days, Berwick had a double decker every Saturday night, it was virtually empty on virtually every occasion.

I`ve said for many seasons that nobody should be paying more than £15 at Championship level, £1 per race seems about right to me. You get the feeling with some promotions know that they have a hard chore of customers who they know will turn up pretty much every week and are quite happy to screw them every season with ever increasing admission prices. Cost is an issue, as is irregular racing, its very easy to find other things to do on a race night.

If the management have been blind sided as you suggest, then they shouldn't be management.
