As their best reserve I think you are tripping if you say absolutely no loss! He may well not have scored many, but any rider is better than no rider at all (especially at reserve). It looks like Ingram’s seven rides will result in no wins over opponents. Stranger things have happened of course, and it looks like three or four of the Scorpions are in good form…

Yes a shame that injury has decided it. And how can Rory Schlein possibly blame Jordan Jenkins for the heat 3 crash? He was miles ahead!

A real shame for the Scorpions having two riders completely off it, when the rest of the team are riding so well. Poole far from their best, but everybody contributing at least something, which should be more than enough for them now in the second leg.

Rushen did nothing wrong there, he’s due an apology from Staechman, who was babbling nonsense that he’d done something really dangerous (and who didn’t have the guts to correct himself when the replay showed him to be way off).

If Cairns was tyre warming (and admitted it), shouldn’t he have been excluded? Or is that a warning/fine scenario? Seems odd to me, since he will have had an (admittedly small) advantage off the start.

Exciting stuff. With hindsight if either Leicester rider had laid it down after contact in the superheat, I reckon the referee might well have ruled in their favour. But I’m glad they didn’t and tried to do it the honest way. -

Oliver Allen is absolutely clueless, incredible he used to ride speedway yet has so little grip on the rules of the sport. Shocking.

The commentary is unbelievable at times - “it can’t be all four back because all four riders weren’t involved in the crash”!

Has Jake Allen ever looked for a teammate? Another shocker there from him in heat 15, stitching up Charles Wright for no good reason (a lesser rider would have either crashed, or gone to the back).
