An interesting point, and I honestly don't know the answer. That said, it is not stated specifically in this year's regulations that that is the case. What it does say is:- If you redeclare due to a rider being injured, then that rider cannot be brought back into the team for 28 days. If the replacement rider gets injured BEFORE his first meeting in the team then the team can return to the original team declaration. No team changes can be made after the transfer deadline, which is after a team has completed 75% applicable meetings. The only exception being that you can bring back an injured rider as long as he replaces the rider who replaced him. Nowhere, that I can see, does it say you can't resign a rider who was simply replaced. I'm sure that it has been done in the past, but quite a number of years ago.
