Will that not make the racing duller?

His argument was he wants a slick track to get some consistency for the home lads in hope that consistent good performances at home carry over to away meetings.

I know naff all about track prep so god knows

It's called having an opinion.  Mine just so happens to be I've never really been entertained by the racing at Shielfield Park.

At least I saw genuine overtakes at Brough.  Just wish I could still do so, but sadly it will probably never be.

Well, it's still open and running speedway!

Got a free car park too.....

Yes indeed and well done to the Berwick promotion, both old and current for keeping it running, good on them.... just saying the racing is not my "cup of tea" and I prefer going down to Redcar for my speedway "fix" (they've got a free car park too!! LOL).

It is what it is track wise Steve

Around a football pitch it bit restricted and even after track was widened

Crowds been great this season though Derby fixs and it's a real bonus to a place which I think has population of only 12000

Okay  there fair catchment area support

Problem seems fairly around in speedway these days with gate and go

Okay there are exceptions and Scunthorpe and Redcar are couple to name two but lots riders don't like the stock car fence at Scunthorpe but again it is what it is.

Classy as ever. Dick by name...

In fairness, I'd happily turn up to watch Tamas Sike riding round a ploughed field, now we don't have to listen to your waffle.

Maybe if Steve Park put his time into saving / reviving the Diamonds rather than moaning about Berwick it would be a different story.

Maybe it would, that's his problem. I just thought the other post was a bit of a needless dig. Not at all surprised, though.

I enjoy going to Berwick regardless tbh - and will do even moreso now. The racing will never be great but it's rarely awful, and it's a big, fast track where you can spectate very closely. Not many left these days.

IF I had the money I would try to revive the Diamonds.  But it ain't that easy, even if I did have the cash to do so.  Finding somewhere to race seems to be a no go anyway, so it probably won't happen.

My opinion on the Berwick track is just that, an opinion.  This is an open forum for discussion.  As I've said in an earlier post, good on all the previous promotions and the current one for keeping it going.  And, just to clarify, it was an observation, not a "moan" and was directed at the track, not Berwick as a whole.

Yet all your “observations” are negative about Berwick and you go to watch Redcar by choice instead.

Moaning about the Berwick track and Mr Barrie seems to be your favourite hobby horse on here.

That's total rubbish.  Very few of my just over 5,000 posts have been "moaning" about Berwick or "Mr. Barrie".

My "observations" are not all negative about Berwick. Re-read my previous post where I praise previous and the current promotions.

The only thing you are correct about is I go to Redcar by choice.  That's my personal choice.  And when I get the chance, I will head across to the West Coast to go to a Workington meeting.
