Edinburgh v Redcar KO Cup (2nd leg) 24th April 2026 7.30pm

Recommended Posts

Can’t argue with the result. A blow to lose Paco but I’m not even sure that with him taking his rides we’d have got near Redcar on aggregate. Solid top four but the tail is long. Grahn went backwards as the meeting progressed after a cracking opening win, Jordy needs to find more speed and I’d be surprised if Cluff is seen again despite him looking more on the pace (while still at the back) later in the meeting.

Easier said than done, only Monarchs reserves look vulnerable at Home.Monarchs Heatleaders are strong at home.Redcar look more strength in depth. Ht13/15 will be the key to this one. IMO

Say no more, controlled win smart riding, shame about ht 3

Thought the meeting showed the issues both sides have.

Monarchs obviously couldn’t cover the loss of Paco early on and the reserves are very poor.

Bears lack consistent heat leaders but were solid if unspectacular. Reserves, particularly Scott, were so much better than their counterparts.

Seasons about done and we’re not even out of April yet.

Top 3 done their job, shame about Paco IRR didn’t cover him at all. Grahn should never of been back as a number 2 over inflated average from being at reserve most of last year. Cluff is definitely on par now with Jye Ethridge for the worst ever monarch. Loftus couldn’t make a gate if his life depended on it. No good having the speed to match if your 10 yards behind out the start.

Why risk a crowd pleaser when controlling the meeting, smart managing and riding wins cups, heat leaders done thier jobs well for the mighty bears, team is solid

The three youngsters are coming good for Redcar they could suprise a few when they get rid of Klindt and get Wright back, re Cluff what happened to young Max James seemed a talent all be it another one who was probably thrown in to fast is he another youngster who has been lost to the sport or could he persuaded back with some additional mentoring on track craft and set up's ?

Surprised by Loftus’ score. I thought he looked good against us a couple of weeks ago.

Any news on Castagna? Hope he’s okay.

He’s still eating that hotdog what he went over the fence for when he clapped eyes on the burger van.

Don't forget Redcar have better reserves than Glasgow. Although I expect Loftus will slowly improve throughout the season.

If he learns to make a couple of gates he’ll be fine as has the speed. Gating is what’s letting him down badly.

That’s pretty much the same for every rider

Thats the spirit I suppose supporting Hibs will do that to anybody’s morale.

I feel your pain.
