My all time favourite Racer, watching him was a thing of magic right from the first time I saw him at Smallmead in 2003. Although he never quite hit the heights on the world scene he leaves the stage with 8 Polish league titles, 3 World Team Cup golds and most impressively in the era of Zmarzlik et al four Polish Individual championships. Earlier this year I visited Poland and on the way to a meeting at Lublin and dropped into the deserted Tarnow stadium. It was here Janusz's career started. A stadium worker approached me, an unidentified intruder, I pointed to my Racers top and uttered the magic words 'Janusz Kołodziej Racing' and suddenly we were best of buddies. Thanks for all the memories Janners Sad to see him retire great racer a very fair rider could beat anyone on his day but of a late age injury have caught up with him ,pity he couldn't do a season over here to swell his pension fund.
