Championship Season 2026

Recommended Posts

Despite the poor Fixtures Planning and the usual guest fest which is just a seasonal issue nowadays which fans have to put with its was very competitive League and a great climax to the season.Dont really see why Championship sides would want much change in the format of the Competitions .(Apart from enforcing a stricter timetable in various Competitions.)Roll on 2027.

I don't disagree with the 'little change' stance. As for the fixture planning let's not forget that every 2 years there are major international football tournament dates to avoid  as many sports fans like to follow many sports. Having said that, the majority of regular Championship fixtures were completed by mid Sept. 2027 should be better, weather permitting.......

IMO a good season too and the best league in UK to watch competitive speedway.  Before the season many on here had Scunthorpe as basement boys, and then they go and win it. So that is always nice when that happens.  I quite liked how the one over 8pt ruling panned out.  Still think the points limit is a shambles, when decent riders dont get a team place because the numbers dont fit is nothing short of village.  Introduce a grading system for heavens sake, imagine how much better the racing could be.

I enjoyed the season and travelled around a bit. I would like to see track covering introduced similar to what some tracks in Poland do so there would be less postponed fixtures. Tarpaulin over the bends, wouldn't even need to put it on the straights as the wet dirt would spread evenly over the course of the meeting. There's too many rain-offs and it affects the number of supporters willing to venture out. A further British rider reduction from 2.5% to 5% would be nice as well.
