I saw that myself. It was posted by one bot on Twitter which was then retweeted by a couple of others. When he was challenged to provide the photo in question, he’s ignored them. Seems to be an awful lot of mischief making going on and a few negative comments on Twitter from brand new accounts created only yesterday. The majority of the negative comments seem to be coming from the Poles, and yet the same people seem happy for him to resume racing in their native Poland. How does that make sense?

Probably because Poland has it's fair share of "numpties" just as we do in the UK.:)

    Not great planning is it?

Anyway, let's hope Emil gets signed off by the BSPL....

Possibly Ipswich had their hand forced  somewhat with the "naughty" press release by Sportowefakty yesterday?

However we are not riders!! Easy to cast judgement from the terraces. Maybe next time a rider is concerned Dave Jones can test it out and tell them if it is okay or not.:t:

Nothing to do with judging from the terraces , I have never stated whether the tracks were suitable or not. It's all about principles, but of course having been tutored about speedway by Mr Ford you wouldn't understand anything about those.

Perhaps because the failure in that scenario was actually Mr Chapman's, he knows it, and doesn't want Chris Holder back as an employee, who he failed to manage?

You are getting closer.I think it's fair to say Chapman doesn't want Holder back on his payroll but not for the reasons you suggest.:)

Just purely as a matter of interest, what is worse out of declining to go out and ride, or going out to the tapes but then just pootling round at the back, maybe dropping out after a couple of laps?

Seen many instances of the latter, but the former will get the headlines and reaction, even though it may be called a more honest approach.

In my view withdrawing & walking out of a meeting in the fashion that they did is about as disgusting as it gets. Riders "pootling aroiund at the back" is seriously wrong too but proving that riders are guilty of that is not so easy as they will always have a reason why it happened ie bike issues & unfortunately the sport isn't managed well enough to dispute any excuse riders mighjt use

I would say Batchelor has a reputation for not trying too hard in slightly damp conditions but not seen Noddy do it before, it wasn't anywhere near the conditions when he had his crash at Coventry, the track at Kings Lynn that night didn't look too bad at all.

    Just slightly damp conditions.?:)

Well one of them was his brother! I don't completely blame Chris Holder, I spoke to him at the play offs at Poole and he still vividly remembers his crash at Coventry, like most of us who were there, he said he didn't think he would walk again let alone ride  so understandable he had concerns about a slightly dodgy track.

If all riders adopted that approach every time they didn't fancy the conditions we would see very few meetings completed, & to walk out of the meeting was completely out of order. If had been paying the bills neither Holder nor his pal would have ever seen any of my money again.

Given that 2023 looked unlikely to happen at all at one point and 2024 is a pipe dream (If you think that Tomalin is the answer and PCC will be supportive then you may need to revisit that) then I'd enjoy the moment and be a bit more supportive of those putting in the time, effort & money in to give you speedway to watch and attend in the coming season. (just made bratters spit out his coffee :D )

Yes it's a cock up and has all of the business skill and communication output of a secondary school project but that's speedway, who's surprised?

As Peterborough fans we know all too well what happens when you get an owner/promoter who wants to take the sport up a notch and take it in to the real world.

    Not only Peterborough fans either.:)

that is a insult to gypsies they are not gypsies as you say

Call them what you will, what I do know is that when these "caravan dwellers" turn up that invariably means trouble for the local neighbourhood. It makes no difference whether you describe them as Travellers or Gypsies.

Have to disagree. Trying telling that to fans of "The Cheetahs", The Reading "Berks" and "The Budgies"...Oxford's and Swindon's rivalry went back to 1949 and matches between the two were always keenly anticipated with plenty of controversy mixed in down the years! Add in Reading (much later) and there was always a good mix at the various stadia and the fans from all three tracks were keen to get one over another!

I think you will find that the same applied to the Wolves/Cradley matches. I always made sure I got to theses matches & there was always a strong turn out  of other Bees fans too. The attendances at both Monmore & Dudley Wood were always excellent,  the atmosphere was something special & way above the usual. Wonderful days very sadly missed.

Internal problems/ squabbles etc once again leave the paying public  the victims. Time they came clean , but then pigs may fly. When and if this is sorted  bosses will will blithely expect fans to  turn up as usual. Only so much manure can they pour over  you till the sheer weight prevents  you getting up...  . Bosses  attitude is that they are doing the fans a personal favour.

Recall during M Hortons reign  getting into showground and match cancelled !! Horton seen exiting from track   before fans told!!  n

The biggest shame of all of  this is that he came back, & also unfortunately found his way to Brandon.

He signed and rode for Newcastle after winning the World U21 Championship at Brandon on 30 September 1991. As a result only rode in challenge matches or even match singular.  But the Diamonds were the first club he represented in the UK. Definitely rode at Brough I'm 99% sure. The more informed on here will have details I'm sure.

Can't remember who he replaced (was Dicko injured?) but it was a good Diamonds team that year winning the Gold Cup early in the season with the legendary Bargh/Thorpe 5-1 in the last heat to seal it. Was the season Thorpe and Lamb started at reserve and ended up heat leaders.

Good memories.  Would be nice to think we could see his son line up for the Diamonds one day but memories are all we've got right now.

You are correct, Brian went to Newcastle for the short period after he won the U21 final. i think he was always scheduled to be a Bee though & the move to Newcastle was one of convenience as he was in the Bees team at the start of the next season.

I agree - Harris needs to lower his average before the end of the season or he will find his options very limited.  I certainly wouldn’t risk signing him on his current average.

What a ridiculous situation. Here we have probably the most entertaining rider left in British Speedway, which everyone knows is" scraping along the bottom",who's future is being questioned because he scores too many points.

Sadly the attitude some of the promoters have towards fans who stop going is "it's your loss".  I guess they obviously feel enough people are packing their terraces out that they need not bother with those who've had enough of it

That has been the attitude from various promoters for many years "If you don't like it don't come". The issue now is that large numbers of fans have taken their advice .
