Interview with Ben below on why he won’t be riding Championship next season. Although he may ride championship at some stage but going by his interview it’s a big if. He admits it was down to the burden of travelling and bidding to progress in Poland as the reason for not riding in the Championship next season. He added: “The only reason I’m not riding in the Championship next year is because it’s time to move on. “It’s been too tough travelling so much. It was OK in the beginning but at the end of the season, it didn’t do me any good. Not enough sleeping, I could feel it in my performances as well midway through the year. “I’m only going to ride in one league in the UK next year to help with the travelling. “If I have time and it’s possible, I can still do Championship at some stage. “For me it’s just about leaving the club in a good way. I really have enjoyed my time at Glasgow.”

He has stated he will not be riding championship in the UK on the Glasgow website. He said that it was too much with all his other commitments.

Possibly but I certainly don’t and have no desire to know, it just becomes a bit tiresome when this rhetoric gets used. I can understand why to certain extent but obviously teams work to a budget if ours is higher why should it matter?.

Stewart will have Berwick difficult to beat at home as he says , that is all the majority of fans ask. Anything they pick up on the road is a bonus.

Nobody knows do they it’s only assumption.

The amount of times you read this pi$$ is mind numbing and predictable. And he has not even signed yet. Its there comfort blanket whilst sucking on their thumb in the rocking chair.

Don’t understand why, he has never had a good meeting round our place. Did he not also remark on his dislike for Ashfield.

Good solid rider years ago but I suspect the injuries are catching up , This team building to 38 points is starting to look more ridiculous by the minute if that is the rumoured side.

They revert to the local Derby scenario Edinburgh, Berwick and now Workington moving up. My own thoughts are to better yourself as a club is to compete with the best. Bottom line it’s there money and there decision not to take that next step. Problem with the weakening of this league may put some off dependant on the opposition . I am sure there will be more than a few will pick and choose what meetings they attend . If that is our 1-7 then it doesn’t exactly wet the appetite with what we have had the past few seasons.

Just shows how diluted the league is getting, all teams will look a shadow of there former self’s. Personally next season was ideal for us to make the next step up but alas not to be.

Surely Vadim will still be on a 5 for next season. Surely.

Danny Bird ,I’m sure he never paid his fine whilst riding with Glasgow and that’s the last we seen him.

Depends what 9 point rider we can get in on a 5 next September.

Don’t think they are in a position not to allow it, regardless what night they want to race on.

Shame that you would have got him in on a 5. I am sure we would’ve helped on an advisory basis too make this happen.

I’m delighted at this ,open top bus booked before the end of season dance. Have to hope the dance doesn’t get rained off.
