    Poole 2024

Says someone whose club has just put together a 1-7 destined for the wooden spoon. lol! Defence of the league? More like de fence along de side of the de garden!

    Glasgow Tigers 2024

You are happy with that team? Seriously no one can be happy with that! lol! It’s a shocking team if correct. Glasgow 2024.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Well all tickets are being refunded so that looks like that for 2023.

    Poole 2024

Glasgow bigger club? How on earth are Glasgow bigger with crowds rarely an over 1000? How many titles have Glasgow won? They might currently have a very rich owner but that’s it. Just saying. Anyway your new number one is Steve Worrall. Likeable guy and a pro.

    Glasgow Tigers 2024

He was always going to drop the Championship and the reason Poole made the call to swap with Lawson, who will be riding it until he retires.

    Glasgow Tigers 2024

That’s the team Glasgow have “assembled” for 2024. From hero’s to zeros!

    Poole 2024

There’s a Pirates rider heading to Glasgow, but it isn’t the Cooks.

    Poole 2024

Surely Glasgow fans have no objections? I mean, it’s no different to Tarasenko coming in.

    Poole 2024

Such a low average for team building is causing issues as promotions have only fractions of a point to squeeze together the team they want. Anders wanted to be at Poole, the fans wanted him at Poole and he is a local lad. Next season: Lawson 8.49 Ben Cook 7.39 Zach Cook 6.22 Dominik Kubera 5.0 Mateusz Cierniak 5.0 Sam Hagon 2.57 Max Perry 2.0 37.18

    Poole 2024

Starke? Never in a month of Sundays. He is well past his best. Expect a team like Plymouth or Berwick to sign him but a Poole rider he never will be. Too old, not got any improvement in him. Really should retire. Looked a complete spent force last year and not interested.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Good stuff. Fingers crossed the weather stays dry enough for this to take place and we win our second team trophy of the year. Tomorrow is mostly a dry day with the occasional shower passing through. Friday similar with 40% chance of. Shower currently.
  12. So we win two trophies this year instead of three. Let’s face it we will win this cup unless something unexpected and dramatic happens. Only 4 points to make up. Yet we treat this season as a failure. Scunthorpe on the other hand were saying before the start of today’s meeting that it was their biggest meeting in years. That’s the difference between what we expect as Poole fans and the reality of other clubs. And that’s meant with no disrespect to the Scorpions who assembled a very good side this year. Of course you are going to get thick morons jumping in trying to mock Poole for not winning every single trophy going, but no club has been anywhere as successful as our fine club in the 21st century. And we all know next year we will do it again, and again Poole will be the team to beat. Another huge crowd expected at Wimborne Road on Wednesday. Douglas will continue his love affair with the Wimborne Road circuit and will be difficult to beat. Kemp will try his best but I don’t believe he will repeat his last visit. Allen and Palm-Toft will battle but we do have the beating of them. Pirates battled for every point today and rode exceptionally well. But for trying to team ride on 5-1’s twice and getting picked off, we could have drawn the meeting. Let’s hope for fair weather, and another trophy in the cabinet. Bring it on!

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Shows how big Poole are compared to any other club when if we actually lose a final there’s a pile on. So rare has been this event. And next year we can be sure Poole will be up there again at the end of the season. Has been this way since the millennium and nothing will change that. A shame tonight is off but the rain was torrential last night and with rain still around at the moment it’s no surprise. Hopefully there’s time to re-arrange before 1st November

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Bit of rain developed this morning in the Poole area. Hopefully it will move away early enough for our excellent track staff to work their magic. Very heavy rain here yesterday evening.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Struggle to understand why Wolverhampton council never stepped in to say speedway must remain and refuse planning permission for dogs on a monday night. As for tomorrow, its not a challenge. Every team in the league participated and so its no different to the k o cup. Just a shame leicester couldnt get their act together last season.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Silly idea then. 20 Fans from each club and a tiny scattering of Sheffield fans. No wonder the idea was chucked.
  17. Steve Shovlar

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Why in earth would they run it at a neutral track like Sheffield? Be lucky to get 150 people attend. And Wednesday is forecast to be a dry day in Poole. Looking forward to another meeting!

    Jubilee final!!!!!

No surprise. Two nasty falls on Saturday and he probably should have sat the remainder of the season out. Hopefully he will be back for us next season. Loads of potential there.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

PooleKeith, you might not be arsed to support the final, but many still do. If you are not bothered so be it, but it’s the final of a competition that was run with all teams involved and is rightly going to be run to its conclusion, albeit late. Most slagging it off have no interest other than to put the boot in, while their teams packed up for the season in some cases many weeks ago. Poole are still running with big crowds attending. Be sure many do not share your view and another big crowd will be present on Wednesday, weather permitting, in the hope of seeing Pirates lift our second trophy of the season. Only then should we go into the winter and start discussing who will or will not ride for Poole in 2024. It says something when Poole fans feel disappointed this year, when in truth we have made every team final available. It shows the level we expect and hold ourselves to.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Two well balanced teams though i know nothing about butcher. Leicester looking a bit stronger and Harris loves the Poole track. Will pirates lift our second trophy of the season? Should be a good night of racing weather permitting.

    Jubilee final!!!!!

Looking forward to this. Should have taken place last year but ran out of time with the final fiasco at Leicester. Should be a cracking fixture and just because Glasgow pulled out due to lack of funds means little. While other teams shut shop weeks ago Poole continue to ride every week which is great. Hope Leicester put out s competitive team and the racing is as good as last week. Harris likely I should think.
  22. Yes heard that but wasn’t sure if confirmed.
  23. With the touted points limit being so low, it’s important to bring in young riders who have the capabilities to improve. The Tarasenko loophole Glasgow exploited has now been sealed so there can be no repeat. So only genuine 5 pointers. Guessing all teams will have very inexperienced reserves, though I think it’s important to have at least one reserve capable of winning heats. There’s going to be a lot of two races in the same heat.
  24. Zack will be at Poole next year.
  25. We won the BSN Trophy and have the long delayed Jubilee Final on Wednesday.
