That seems totally backwards.
If we're going to win we need Bewley, Lambert and Woffinden winning off any gate and then giving the best opportunity to Brennan/Ellis to pick up points in the other.
You really want to give our best rider the best gates and easiest rides, and then throw our weakest riders to the wolves for no points?
Yep that's exactly what I'm saying. Hope Ellis and Brennan do well, but realisticly they're out of their depth. Don't waste the best gates on them. Sometimes you have to be harsh. It's not a time for sentiment.

He can only have 5 rides if we don't go 6 behind.

If we drop 6 behind we'll be very unlikely to win as Tac subs are less effective in this format and in a best case scenario, you'll still be 3 behind, but possibly still 5 and that's if the Tac sub wins..
As the track has given a massive advantage so far to gates 1 and 2, I see the benefit of replacing Ellis and Brennan when they have these gates by the No5. It means he has 4 rides from gates 1 & 2. Brennan & Ellis who are unlikely to score anyway will get gates 3 & 4 unless we are 6 behind and then Tac Sub them.
This I think gives us a sniff.

Assuming Ellis and Brennan are in the team tomorrow. Either Lambert and Bewley have to be at reserve and take Ellis and Brennans rides from Gates 1 + 2. Hopefully we won't be in Tac Sub category but if we are then the gates 3 + 4 can be used. Simple really.

I agree, but he was brilliant at Glasgow. So fair play.

He had a great start, but hardly scored a point since??? Berge looks like something has clicked and has done repeatedly well this year. Will surely get an Extraleague place next year. Would be far worse SGP wild cards given out.

Again doing well but at also a much lower level.

Behave. The lad's doing well but at a totally different level as you well know.

Can't think of a more improved rider this year than Berge.

If he hasn't used his 4 rides prior to heat 17 it would suggest the other 4 are doing well? It would be an advantage if another rider got a late injury!

I suppose a reserve will always take a tac sub ride at the earliest opportunity? He can still take his other 5 rides then. Otherwise he may not get another TS chance?

Massively improved this season is Dimitri Berge.

1 point in it.

Good timing.
Doyle has either completely gone or needs New bikes.

Was thinking about this and to me if you're going to allow Tac subs in a meeting like this, then would have thought to be behind by 4 would be enough. 6 in normal league matches enables you to get within 2 points with a 5-1, but a 3 point win here and the leaders run 2nd and you make up a point????? Think the rule needs looking at if they want it to enable a closer match?
Just my thoughts.

Couldn't watch it. Signed up on Amazon and found the channels. Think there were 9 Pit Cams, but the channel supposed to be showing the racing was Cycling all evening. Only cost me £6.99 so won't kill me, but the principle annoys the hell out of me.

I wouldn't be against Brennan, but as mentioned it's a thankless task. I do think Wroclaw is as close as you can get to Belle Vue, but the 4 teams will be very hot competition. Likely to be Aussies and Danes. Get one of the top 3 at reserve and hopefully choose their races wisely looking at gates etc.
You never know???????

He only had 1 ride on his home track!!!

I'll be surprised if rider 4 for GB gets 4 in the final. Good luck to whoever gets picked. Thankless task. Might do Brennan more harm than good. Think Harris would be best as at least he has experience.

my dad always talked of him. Never even seen a video of him?

Whoever was No.4 for GB was going to struggle. Not defending Ellis, but none of the others would cut it either.

It couldn't get worse could it. League racing here is top notch week in week out. Maybe cos it means more to the riders???

We have 6 gates 1 or 2 in the first 8 races. This is usually when they are at their most advantageous before an outside line starts to work. Hope the TMs are man enough
to use Bewley. If we aren't in the lead after heat 8 with that advantage then the games up anyway.
