    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

I know its early days( 2 meetings). For me, it's just that I'm so keen for this team to do well this season. There was a good crowd at the AFA on Thursday. Winning teams attract better crowds, which we desperately need, after the dwindling crowds of the last few years. We only lost at Leicester by 5 points, with Toby and NKI scoring 5 points each. We where 4 points up at home to BV after 12 heats, and lost by 6. Toby 7, NKI 4, Patryk 2. I know the riders are trying their best, and might be a bit rusty, but we wasn't far off of getting something from those 2 meetings. It frustrated me, im sure Rob would feel the same. Lets get some more meetings under our belt, and see how we are doing.

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

Yep.. I see where your coming from Baggy. It has been a tough start, with the 2 home rain offs. I wont be to harsh. It could give a slightly false impression after the first 5 meetings. As long as we can keep it close away, we could pick up a few agg points in the returns. Harris and Lawson verbally agreed to ride here this season, early doors, only to change their minds. If my sums are correct, they would of just fitted for NKI and Tofty. Title winning side there imho. If only.....

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

I agree. Lets hope some riders get dialled in ASAP. Toby, Paddy, MPT and NKI are falling short early doors.. I'm sure Toby will be fine, as will Paddy W. We need a 6 point average from MPT and 7 for NKI, over the season. As i said in an earlier post, i will judge them after 5 meetings. It don't seem long, but if you want to actually compete for top 4, it's a good chunk out of the league matches... With the teams so close, you need to be ruthless if you really want to compete

He's 30 i think. But will up his average this season. Very early days yet. NKI scored 9 in the Peter Craven memorial meeting, which was a good start. But out of his 9 points in 2 league meetings so far, 5 points have come from HT8. As i said, very early days. But by the time our next home meeting comes around on the 22nd against Sheffield, we could well of lost our first 4 meetings (3 away, 1 home). Loosing the Sheffield meeting would be a disaster. It's a must win, as well as running our away meetings close. I'll look at the riders stats after the 5th meeting, before i get on any riders case though.

    Stars vs Aces - 11th April 2024

Normally id go for something like 50-40. But given MPT's spill and the lack of track time at home, i can see this one going either way tbh. I expect BV to be the sharper of the 2 teams early doors. Heats 13 and 15 could be tough for the Stars as well. Hoping Vadim and Toby are both on it tonight. Can't make it, so will be watching the updates come in. Lovely evening for it. Come on u Stars .......
  7. Maybe time to start doing the Euro Millions
  8. 100%.. If we are serious of a play off place, we can't f00k about for a few quid. If Lynn have a crap year with this team (not cheap), the fans will continue to dwindle. End of King's Lynn maybe ? We know Buster wants out.. Profit might keep him interested..
  9. Has stopped here now. 3 miles as the crow flies for me.
  10. 7pm, and here comes the rain.

Witches v Lions KOC 2nd Leg April 4th

Ipswich Witches 7 m · Sadly, we have been forced to postpone tonight's fixture against Leicester at Foxhall Too much rain has fallen late this afternoon for the track to dry out A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course … See more That post was around 6pm on the Ippo FB page. With away fans probably on their way. Riders there ? I thought they would of tried until at least 7.30 to get the track rideable, if not raceable?

  18. They will need to do better than last seasons BB 6 from 5, and Vadim 4 (4). But you never know.
  19. Would be a great start if we could get something tonight. I do think you prediction is about right though. Enjoy your evening

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

It has been said that Buster bought them to save the Prem, and the TV deal. Rathbone was going to continue in the Champ if no buyer came forward i believe. There are a some Panthers fans that are starting to give MT a bit of stick on here lately, and rightly so imho.. I think some still don't, hoping he might come good one day, and don't want to pee him off. As you mentioned Johnson" buggering of " , i wonder what the Panthers fans would of thought of him, if his actions would of caused Chapman to shut up shop mid season. Maybe a cynic might think he did it thinking that it would put Buster in trouble, and help his mate MT get the club cheap/free, who knows?

No fool would promise what he did to the fans before engaging his brain first either , I’m afraid.
  22. It's a tough one... Anything can happen this early in the season. I wonder how the track is, after all the rain? Edit.. Just seen the track on another tread, looks ok. Lets hope the weather plays ball

    Peterborough Panthers 2023

Agree. People knew about the PB situation before the season started, thats why we got the new stadium talk/ waffle from you know who.. As the PB fans know, Lynn finished bottom the year PB won the title. Buster brought riders in after CJ left him in the poo, and those riders helped PB to win a good few meetings nearer the end of last season, which dumped He's beloved Lynn bottom yet again. I would like to think that real speedway fans would realise that Lynn might well of suffered after Buster took over at PB.. And that it's just Buster that they are pissed off with, and not the fans.. With regard's the riders, I suspect that several teams were talking to their/ Busters riders before the season had finished. No surprise that Buster was too, as you say.. He bought them over No one knows if Buster has taken that "brown envelope" that some have wrongly spoke of. We will find out in the end, no doubt..And he will get deserved flack from all angles, if he has. I hope that TM eventually puts his money were his mouth is, and helps the Panthers build a new track elsewhere. But i'm not holding my breath..
