  1. Crowd was well over a thousand , which for a meeting hastily rearranged twice wasn't bad . The crowd levels at Glasgow are generally pretty healthy

We're probably only going to have 8 teams in the Championship next season , so not a great deal of difference

38 is what I've heard , but even that is unacceptable. They can't keep watering down the Championship and expect the fans to turn up and pay 20 odd quid to get in and watch a load of 6 point riders . We've finally got the title monkey off our backs . Time to think hard and see what ambitions we as a club really want . Yes the Monday and Thursday thing isn't ideal , but the size of the crowd that turned up at Ashfield last Monday shows what is possible if you have the right opposition . We have the facilities , we have the track fit for the Premiership.. Let's bite the bullet and move up
  4. What a wonderful night . Couldn't get to Poole due to work commitments, but what a night we had at Ashfield . The team were amazing last night , I was one of the ones who doubted a 14 point lead would be enough down there , but from opening 5-1 the doubts disappeared as we ticked off the heats . But this is for the guys who has brought this club up from its knees . 2013 and 14 we were standing among the weeds on the back straight , turning up and watching us getting hammered every week . Fans selling possessions to help buy the first airfence ( ironically from Poole ) . Now we have a wonderful stadium ,a terrific track , a team who can now call themselves worthy champions . What a difference . Poole will bounce back from this , they have a cup final yet to race and if they win that they will have won two of the three competitions, hardly a disappointing season . Roll on 2024 , but please Glasgow , dont let Bomber leave .
  5. After Oxford winning at Redcar last night , we have to win home and away with Redcar and beat Oxford by more than 10 on Tuesday night to reach the final . But first things first , we have to take care of business today , Redcar are the only team to have beat us at home this season , so we have to take nothing for granted today even when they are severely weakened without Charles Wright , which was their undoing last night .

Canny diss big Lee , the guy is a cult hero . Remember once we were down at Somerset and we were getting a right doing . Big Lee comes out and wins heat 12 and does two laps of honour .

    Vadim Tarasenko

I'm sure he does , apart from the poster who holds him personally responsible for the invasion of Ukraine

    Vadim Tarasenko

As far as I'm aware neither Tarasenko , Sayfutinov or Laguta have waged war on anyone . Now take your political morality and sod off to a forum that deals with that stuff .
  9. If it's as good as last week's meeting between the two sides , then we could be in for another classic

As far as I'm aware Loophole Lenin doesn't even own a furry hat or drink vodka
  11. Same as I didn't know taccy subs weren't allowed in the NDL . Anyway good luck to Bomber , Ben , Loophole Lenin and the rest of the lads tonight
  12. Well we've had the qualifying tournament , now the real stuff begins . Got a feeling that bonus points are going to be crucial in our group . So I hope we can go to Oxford tonight and at least keep it close .

    Assessed Averages

Don't see what all the greeting and gnashing of teeth is all about , apart from about 2 or 3 , then the odd mercenary coming here once Poland is done for them , Vadim is basically riding against the same riders in both leagues anyway .
  14. That was surreal . Floodlights were on and the sky got really black , but I'm glad we were in front when the inevitable downpour came . Until then it was an entertaining meeting, Son of God remembered his birthright and was majestic . Mad Vlad was also superb for a 5 point man on his first away meeting , boy has a future . Special mention to Jack Smith , his battling display beating first Riss and then Bailey were crucial points
  15. Honestly , if I can see what I've witnessed tonight , during the play offs . I dont care if we win the league or not , if I get entertained like this I'm happy
  16. Seen some brilliant speedway at Glasgow this season , but tonight is just incredible

    Championship Pairs - Sep 1st

What time will the track open on Friday ?
  18. It thoroughly enjoyed my beer and burger diet during my weekend road trips . Steak pie , chips at Scunny wasnt too bad either .

    CLRC

Agreed , I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday after sitting in torrential rain in the car park thinking I wasn't going to see any speedway . So the Redcar trackstaff deserve enormous credit . When Sheffield riders won the PLRC every few years , folk would moan about home track advantage . A home rider wins and thats what you get . Ok I wanted my own team's rider ( Chris Harris ) to win , but when you got racing like we got yesterday , speedway was the real winner, but well done Charles Wright .

Be bringing guys out of retirement at this rate
  23. As a neutral I enjoyed the meeting . It's a cracking wide track , would love to see the sports big stars on it . As for today , too many last places for the home side , can't win meetings like that . Funniest part was Jack Smith waving his arms about after Connor Bailey moved him over then kicking the fence on his way back to the pits . Comedy gold .
  24. Disappointed with the result , but some of the racing was brilliant . Lovely touch by Ben Basso to come over and applaud us travelling fans on the first bend , after he won heat 15 . Big difference of course was getting heavily outscored at reserve
