I think at this stage if Claus Vissing was available and within the budget he would have been signed , so cannot see why we would break the bank to sign him now.

Slightly off topic , I started watching at Workington in the late 70,s but struggle to remember too much , apart from the smell, the speed, walking round to the wee pie hut for pie and oxo. The sparse crowds of three to four hundred, the battering at home , happy days Worky riders , the great Brian Havelock, Rob Maxfield, Andy Margarson, Mark Dickinson etc. -
Lets hope the 600 figure can be achieved, we did have some good attendances at the start of the season and against Belle Vue I recall was a very good crowd but there were some meetings when attendances were not so good. Hopefully with the Comets competing in the Championship there will be lots of travelling fans coming along , I know even last season there were many who came from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Redcar etc.

No, intentional.
-
I can categorically say without fear of contraception that I have no idea who the final rider is.
-
Agree.
-
Hmmm.
-
A N Other.
-
Thats so last year
-
Agree , the postal service and many other services are just not working ie the Railways and Rail operators , when the Rail system works its a good service but all too often there are delays and cancellations and staff shortages. Star still not arrived.

Yes

Surely only 4 or 5 for Blodorn or Rew

Still waiting for last weeks edition, not the publishers fault but not helping the customers by poor postal service.

Championship Predictions 2024
topaz325 replied to Bagpuss's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Let’s look forward not back , that was then this is now, my only misgiving is that the current line up do not have experience on away tracks but if they can make good scores at home after getting some initial home rides then we’ll be fine . -
I thought about Rew as an option last week but was not sure if he rode in Poland at the weekend , also Blodorn does he ride on the continent at the weekend ?
-
No Star for me again only got last weeks this Wednesday.
-
Can see. a slow progression in stadium facilities and team structure , Rome was not built in a day , if we can win home meetings be entertaining to watch then that is the main thing.
-
Still not still not received last weeks copy , the postal service is very poor , getting to be a weekly issue , only getting letters about twice a week.
